Fantastic abundance of flowers we had never seen before. Quiet and a well maintained space. We were treated to a special exhibit and training on making Hawaiian leis.

Thank Arthur K

Very interesting way to spend a couple hours on St Croix. No crowd, very peaceful stroll on the grounds with some very cool Flora, as well as ruins from sugar mills, etc. Very informative signs and gorgeous grounds. The day we were there, the sky threatened rain, and the very nice woman in the Gift Shop offered us umbrellas just in case (and as it turned out it poured on us, so we were very appreciative of her thoughtfulness). Even our 15 year old and 12 year old loved seeing the cool plants and remnants of old structures.

The botanical garden had more of a park or estate type feel than a traditional botanical garden. There is a ton of history along the walking paths with interesting plants from many tropical locations. You can get through the entire property in a couple of hours and it was only $8 per adult to get in so well worth the money spent. It can be a bit tricky to find if you are not paying attention as it is well off the highway.

There were nice paths, interesting plants and pleasant ruins, if driving yourself, make sure you get good directions, roads are not posted very well.

I have a botany degree and love to visit botanic gardens when I travel (I mention this as a disclaimer). The gardens are decent, a bit small, nothing too impressive in my mind. I enjoyed the visit but wouldn't really reccomend it.
