“It is a definitely an old fort”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

The cost to enter the fort is $3. The building itself is a little run down and everything is self guided. The displays are not of very high quality but they do exactly what they needed to. They tell the story of the people on the island. The fort was the site of the change of sovereignty of the Virgin Islands between the United States and Denmark. It is worth a visit but don't expect too much.

“A little run down”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

The fort was a little run down but still interesting to see. We did not get to see all of it as the people running it decided to close 4 hours early. Another reason for average rating.

The price of admission is $3 for adult $1 for children, great price, the Fort was unfortunately self guided, they is a lot of history about the fort, which a Guided Tour should be madatory and available.

“Worth a Visit”
Reviewed 18 April 2013

There's little to do after coming off a cruise ship here unless you want to go across the island. They have a nice little waterfront with some local vendors. A nice peaceful respite after the madness of St. Maarten. We were the only ship in port so it was nice to just kick back and spend a few hours here and at the fort which is very interesting for it's historical perspective.
