“Say Hi to the Captain”

This tour is well worth your time. It takes about an hour but you will want to relax in the bar for free drinks. They have a great display of the history of St. Croix and is very informative. Also have a good history of Captain Henry Morgan.

The video they show is a real hoot!!

The tour of the plant were the make the rum is informative. The plant itself is immaculate and is a tribute to the excellent job they do in managing it. It is highly efficient and no waste is expelled from the plant.

The bar area was my favorite, large and relaxing not to mention the good rum punches served there.

You take a tour on a golf cart and get 2 drink coins which means you can only taste 2 things... Stupid.

Please visit Cruzan Rum tour for a more in depth experience. You get to walk through the plant and see everything in live action and at the end you get to try as much rum as you want.. They even have 151 soaked cherries. This is only at Cruzan Rum Factory on STX!

“Rum Rum Rum”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

It's a new high tech distillery that not only makes lots of rum, but also its own electric. Besides learning how rum is made it the tour is gives some history of the US Virgin Islands. Of course they offer a tasting after the your. A good place to visit should it rain.

“Very Basic Tour”
Reviewed 18 April 2013

I really enjoy brewery and distillery tours and have been on several around the world. So I was very excited to go to the Captain Morgan distillery that is newly opened on St. Croix. I was rather underwhelmed.

The first part of the tour is "self-guided," which means you read a bunch of pretty basic posters that briefly describe the history of St. Croix, the process of distilling rum and the history of the company itself as you make your way to the theater. The informational movie was an extended commercial for Captain Morgan that gave no further information about how rum is distilled. You are than asked to turn off all cameras and mobiles before being escorted to an open-air tram for a slow circle around the distillery as the guide points out what stuff is with very little description. You stop once and they show you what rum looks and smells like during the process of making it. Then it's back to the visitor's center and the tour is over.

You do receive 2 free drinks with the cost of the $10 admission, but leave knowing very little more about the distilling process than you did before you arrived. Compared to the Bacardi Tour on Puerto Rico, this one was really lacking in breadth and depth. We will be touring the Cruzan Distillery tomorrow and I am hoping for a more comprehensive tour.
