Owner description: Located on St. Thomas' north shore, the beach at Hull Bay faces Inner and Outer Brass cays and attracts fishermen, beachcombers and, because it is open to rough Atlantic waters, is considered one of the best places to surf on the island.

“great for snorkeling, not for swimming”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

great beach for close to shore snorkeling (for older kids) but not for swimming. very rocky and drops off quick, highly recommend water shoes. docks many boats in water here. sand is very HOT but shade available at trees close by. limited parking but free - very quiet. not really family friendly compared to Magen's bay. bar/restaurant is there.

“A wonderful time in a wonderful place”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

My husband and I have been to the Caribbean about a dozen times now and we always make a point of going to the Hull Bay Hideaway. It is off the tourist's path and has a laid back, "positive vibration" (in island speak)! This is a spot where you can spend a gorgeous day on the beach under the palms and just walk to the bar at your leisure to get good quality food and drinks at a reasonable price. They have a website and Facebook now- you can check out the menu before you go.
If you are looking for the evening scene; the bar is a real island bar and we have seen some great live music at The Hull. The place is Irie mon!

“Squids, eels, feather duster worms oh my!”

Did a snorkel tour and this was the last stop. Not too bad of a current, a bit colder cause it is the Atlantic side. Saw many sealife and coral. Enjoyed also the small beach and sea glass !

“Looking for a Dog-Friendly Beach on St Thomas?”
Reviewed 4 February 2014

I visited Hull Bay today and it is certainly a dog-friendly beach, but if that's not what you've come for, then skip this one.

The bar and restaurant are great, and it's not high traffic, so that might be a reason to stop by too.

This beach had lots of trash on it on this particular visit. If you want white sand, and water you can walk into without worrying about what you'll step on, try some of the other beaches with high reviews. Otherwise, If you've got a pooch, this is the one.

“Best Fish Tacos! Watch the Pelicans”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

On a recent cruise stop in St. Thomas, we rented a Jeep and spoke to Ben, the Jeep Rental agent (Just behind the Harley Davidson store). Ben, who is a recent transplant to St. Thomas made several suggestions but said 'You gotta go to Hull Bay for the fish tacos!'. Well, Ben has got it all going on when it comes to Fish Tacos. Best we have ever had - Fresh grouper with an incredible cabbage slaw. And the Pelicans give an incredible show, dive-bombing the bay. We live in SE Florida and 'our' Pelicans are nothing like those in St. Thomas. These bad boys circle until they see their prey and then go into dive bomber mode.
