Bluebeard's Beach Club and Villa has one of the nicest beaches. This was my first trip to St. Thomas and we were pleasantly surprised. The view is great from the villa and the swim-up pool bar was lots of fun. The resort needs a little tender loving care. Staff was accomodating and Mr. Nice Guy's Taxi Service was wonderful. Get past the bumpy road and you are in paradise! We will definitely go back.

Room Tip: Villa's A and B have the best view.

We were a little apprehensive at first going to Blueberads since we saw some bad reviews. DO NOT believe them!!! We arrived at 1:30. Leslie who was at the front desk was warm and welcoming. We had a one bedroom, but, were told they were all on the first floor and we did not want the first floor. We asked could we get a studio loft in Building A - the only building with unobstructed views of the water. (All buildings have amazing views - they are just not as close.) Leslie accomodated us. We loved our room and our view. We were worried that it would be rainy since that is what was forecast for the week. It rained one hour the whole week we were there. The beach was beautiful. (lots of shells and rocks before you got waist deep in the water.) Never too many people and you did not have to get up early to get a seat. I don't know if its always like this but it was a nice change from getting up at 7 AM to get prime beach front seating. The only cons: You had to go to the office to change beach towels - a far walk. The kitchen area was tiny, the maid does not come back to your room - you can ask for bath towels and they bring them right away. They supply one shampoo, etc. but if you want more its $1.25 a bottle. They do not spray every day for those little pesky bugs that are all over the Caribbean. So if you are looking to be catered to at every whim - this is NOT the place for you.. It's a quiet, out of the way, relaxing place. Hardly any noise. We did not go to the bar which was located at the pool. They also do not have anyone serving you drinks on the beach and there is no restaurant. They do have taxis that will take you food shopping and to town - which closes up sharply at 5 PM. The largest food store Puebla closes at 9 most nights. The Fruit Bowl is a little more upscale. We travel 3-4 times a year - most places have daily maid service and beach service. We missed neither. Would we go back? DEFINITELY

Room Tip: Building A has the best view. All one bedrooms are on first floor. Regular studios on second and lof...

This was my second trip there. Everything was beautiful and clean. I sat on the balcony every morning and night and was the most peaceful thing u could experience. Staff was great and Chris at the pool bar was the best. He does a great job. I love the secluded feeling of this place. I am currently in the process of buying a week here. The driveway to get there however needs a lot of work. If u can't relax here u won't relax anywhere. Can't wait to return..

Beautiful location. We were a bit shocked when they charged $11 PER PERSON, PER DAY for an "energy surcharge" With the yearly maintenance fees we pay, this is uncalled for. The resort seems to be in a state of decay, particularly the stretch of road leading from the highway. The tennis courts are shabby and the outside of a few of the buildings look like they are due for the bulldozer. We paid $25.00 each, for a Tuesday Lunch Beach Party barbecue, consisting of hamburgers, sausages, hotdogs and sodas. I would have spent the $50 elsewhere, for better fare. Louis, at the reception desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. Victoria was very knowledgeable, Chris, at the bar, was very helpful, a good bartender and seemed to enjoy his job. Lisa, the Scuba instructor and rental shack operator was fantastic. The beach and the views are magnificent and the rooms were very clean. We rented a car from Hertz and got to see a lot of the island. You are not permitted to take rental cars on the ferry to St Johns or anywhere off the island, so we didn't make it to St Johns.

Room Tip: Most of the units have very steep stairs and 3 levels, so if that is a problem, ask if there are any...

We're Wyndham owners and ran onto this place while looking for a beach destination for a week. We booked last minute (about 30 days out) and got the week for a reduced amount of points. We took a cab in from the airport and were glad to have done so, acknowledging we arrived after dark, and were not familiar with the roads. Rented a Jeep from Amalie Car Rental and the owner delivered it to us the next morning after arrival. My wife and I stayed in a "studio plus" in bldg D. Reception by Leslie was accurate and efficient. Oliver drove us in the safari style truck to our unit and was very helpful and kind.
The unit was small, but adequate for the two of us. Interesting that is was on 3 levels, as tight and cozy as it was. The AC worked pretty well, and glad it was located in the bedroom. Views from all patios are great. Nice to park right by the room too. The other front desk staff person was not as friendly as Leslie. She seemed not happy with her job. I asked for replacement shampoo and conditioner after being there for 4 days, and she told me I could purchase them for $1 each. Our membership entitles us to mid-week "tidy and trash", which they did for us. I expected them to replenish the amenities but they did not. (Apparently orders from management so they could sell them to guests as mentioned above). The bar was good, service friendly, the beach shack rental deal was AOK. We enjoyed the Snorkel with the Turtles trip with took with the operator, her Capt (Gary), and 2 other couples.
We liked the small nature of the resort and would recommend it. We enjoyed St Thomas for the week, but feel we saw about all, (including a day at St John) that we'd want to see. We'd recommend it to anyone that has not been there, but would likely not go back to STT.

This place is a great place with an excellent staff. Ok guys it is not the Ritz, but it is nice and the people are so friendly, the guests are easy to talk too and the staff treat you like family. I have read the negative reviews and I just don't get it. I admit the cell service is spotty and the internet cuts out a lot. But our room was clean, the grounds spotless, and the views wonderful. we sat many nights on our Balcony and watched the world go by. we went to the Sunday information meeting and booked our sight seeing trips for the week, she had a great selection of tours and we booked three. Every one was great and a good value. there is still no restaurant on property but you can get a sandwich at the pool bar. they have a pasta buffet one night and a couple of BBQ meals during the week. we travel a lot and Bluebeard's Beach club is becoming My favorite place to go. I will be happy to answer any questions you have!

Room Tip: we stayed in building B which is closest to the beach

This place sits on top of the world. I could just sit there and look out over ships, the water, and smile. The staff is so friendly and you feel like you are really away from it all. Just remember that you are on an island! If you expect mainland wifi, dish, etc; stay on the mainland. Why are you worried about those things? Enjoy the beauty here! That's why you came on a vacation!
