As it stands right now, this once-proud fort/building is falling into a state of disrepair once again. It has served numerous purposes over the years, but now it stands in an idle condition, the paint peeling off the exterior. Our taxi driver let us out to photograph the building, but it did not appear to be open or occupied during our visit. They ought to do something with this fort to bring it back to its former glory days. Still, it is pretty to see and walk around, even if it is not currently open to the public.

Fort Christian is beautiful building in very much the same condition it was in when it was built, a very historical building that is a must see.

Its a remain of the Danish era, not so exciting to see as the building is deteriorating. I'm afraid that as the time passes, the history of it is also diminishing. I just hope that they preserve it as possible they can.

the building has been left to decay. the history of this important landmark is crumbling away. as a child I spent lots of time in the museum that was there. The original police station was there also. this needs to be rectified, it needs to be restored to it's former glory

When we traveled in July, Fort Christian was receiving a makeover and was closed. The building itself is impressive. You should at least take a stroll (after the blue tent market on the right) and check out the building.
