We somewhat accidentally happened upon this location. It was nice for a quick cool-down. The guard working the building area was very friendly - explaining the different pictures, giving a bit of history, and giving the kids pens (which they love getting little treasures)! I don't know that I would seek this out, but it's a great little stop if you are out and about walking around.

This Government House is a real life piece of history in a beautiful setting.
It is worth a stop see when exploring this tropical island.

Government House is a beautiful building perched high above Charlotte Amalie. While you can't go inside its worth the walk up not only for the views but also as a waypoint to Blackbeard's Castle then back down the 99 Steps.

If you are looking for an example of neoclassical architecture, here is your photographic spot. Not sure if you are permitted inside...I didn't try.

What a unique experience we had when visiting the Government House in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas. As we were walking up to the building, the Lt Governor walked out the door, and we got to have an impromptu meet and great with him in the middle of the street. He even took pictures with us You do not get to do that too many places!
