Not a great choice
We needed an overnight before out boat charter - this was close by
Poorly maintained - clean but falling apart - it's in bad need of an upgrade - sliding doors were frosted up to 5' (to prevent looters I assume)
It's an older property On par with a badly maintained La Quinta

Stayed: December 2013

We just returned from a four day stay at this hotel. Let me say that Marilyn was one of the nicest of all of the staff. Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. The toilet seat was broken, two washcloths for four people, a bar of soap hardly larger than a quarter, among other inconveniences. It took several calls and visits to the front desk before the issues were resolved. However, the day before we were to leave, everything was taken care of and satisfactory. Too bad we had so little time to enjoy the amenities. As for the restaurant, service was slow and the food was lousy. However, that is a review for another day!!

Room Tip: Our first room was lousy with an old TV and a musty smell. We were accomodated immediately thanks to Marilyn and switched to another room on the 4th floor with a flat screen TV that was satisfactory once the toilet seat was repaired. The bed was comfortable, however.

We chose this hotel since it was close to the ferry ride to Tortola. It was only a 1-night stay and the rate per night was a reasonable for the area.

The hotel is run-down. The rooms are actually less dated than the exterior.
Free wi-fi was a nice plus.
Pool in the center courtyard with no spa.
Golf putting green is in bad shape and not very useful.
Only 1 elevator - which if you are on the opposite side of the elevator it can be a walk. 415 is the opposite side of the elevator. Stairs are the other option.

There is a bellman - which came in handy.

The lobby has internet access and printing capability for a fee - $5 min.
The restaurant on site is expensive and limited offering - recommend walking to the Green House for a 5 minute walk.

This has a water front property - but no beach access.

It was fine for the 1 night we stayed - but I am not sure I would consider staying there again, but for the right price I would.

This is a clean, convenient place to stay when needing just a one or two night location. There are not a lot of choices in the area for non-resort lodging. The price is fair considering you are on St. Thomas. very convenient to easily walk to the center of the shopping area & great restaurants. The Green Iguana Restaurant is the closest and has good food. It seems very touristy but the food still hangs in there.

Room Tip: Rooms on the backside of the complex have less road noise. but the local roosters, early morning deliveries, etc. are the tradeoff back there.

Our flight arrived St Thomas too late to get the last ferry to the British Virgin Islands. The ferry dock is across the street from the Windward Passage hotel. That make this a convenient stop for connecting to the ferry. The free WIFI in the room worked well. You have to be careful of the taxi drivers who try to take over charge you from the airport. It is best to ask and confirm the fare.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the hotel have some road noise.
