We went on a week night; and, had no wait and were able to get a table next to the yacht club. Our waitress was friendly, very good happy hour prices/selections; and, everyone found something the liked to eat. Overall, a successfully family dinner outing and less than $100 for family of 5.

While Fat Turtle is located right on the water in St Thomas, it's food doesn't live up to it's beautiful view. All seating is outside with very little comfort from the heat. The food is just regular bar food. The fish and chips were not very good and the salad upset my stomach. They were out of ice and unable to serve any soft drinks even though we arrived just as they were opening for the day. Would not recommend eating here.

The best part of this place is the view of the upscale yacht harbor. If you don't care about sub-par food and want to see lots of beautiful huge yachts, then the Fat Turtle is a great place to visit. We looked at the menu and quickly decided to order appetizers only. The burger was $14 and entrees started at $24 and went up from there. We ordered tater skins $8, mozzarella sticks $8, one happy hour well drink $3, and one coke $2. The tater skins were ok, the mozzarella sticks were ok but the marinara was lousy. We both agree that we wouldn't return.
