We have just returned from three nights at the Green Iguana Hotel – I can honestly say in all my years of travel, I have never had such a warm welcome upon arrival. John and Gwen are the most hospitable couple I have ever come across. I had been emailing Gwen prior to travel and she answered all of my questions, gave brilliant advice from car hire to boat trips which ensured this very special holiday went without a hitch! The hotel itself is beautifully clean and well-appointed with all you could need, it also has wonderful views from the very spacious balcony - we stayed in room H2. The wifi was the fastest we had experienced throughout our whole trip. It is situated within minutes from the 99 steps so gives quick and easy access to the many bars and restaurants in town. We walked down to the ‘Green House’ two nights and had a great time but be prepared to walk off your dinner going back up the steps though!! Keep your eyes open around the hotel for the local wildlife – beautiful birds are encouraged to visit and the iguanas range in all sizes!
Overall, I personally could not find fault with anything - when on holiday we always try to choose small, clean, individual hotels with warmth and charm – The Green Iguana certainly lived up to that and more, should we ever return to St Thomas, it would be our first choice.
Thank you John and Gwen for an unforgettable birthday welcome!
