I only spent two nights here, and it was a wonderful and delightful experience. Pam and Matt are friendly, genuine folks. It is obvious that they love what they do and care very much about their guests. They have great pride of ownership in this wonderful B & B, and it shows in every little detail. I loved my time here, and wish I could have stayed longer. I enjoyed interacting with the other guests here (I was traveling alone, but I sure didn't feel alone). All I can say is AMAZING. Thank You Matt and Pam. I have never had a better breakfast anywhere!

Room Tip: All the rooms are extremely clean and wonderful

Would have loved to stay a month!! Traveling with another couple, we were very happy with At Home in the Tropics. Amazing views. Comfortable rooms. Soothing breezes. We lounged by the pool, and on the terrace. Walking the steps home after dinner helped to "work off" the meals in town too!

Room Tip: All rooms have beautiful views!

Six friends, and my husband and I spent two nights at At Home in the Tropics following a sailing trip in the BVI. All of us were blown away by every aspect of this charming b&b! Pam was at the gate to meet us as our cab drove up. She gave us a tour of the place, pointing out all of the amenities. The view from every outside area is amazing, and the pool area is wonderful. Our bedrooms were extremely comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts were exquisite. Pam cooked, while Matt served and cleaned up--a great team. As others have noted, the location of At Home in the Tropics is perfect. Not only is it a great place for the views, but all the shopping and restaurants that Charlotte Amalie has to offer are just down Government Hill from the b&b. It's easy to see why At Home in the Tropics has earned TripAdvisor's #1 B & B rating!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are great.

From our arrival to our departure, we were made to feel at home. We enjoyed each breakfast and that time to exchange tips with the other guests. But we equally enjoyed the quiet time in the afternoon by the pool overlooking all of Charlotte Amalie with a glass of wine. The rooms are beautiful and tropical. Pam and Matt were great hosts. And the location...halfway between the shopping and Blackbeard's Castle...was just perfect. We would (and did) recommend this B&B to everyone!

We stayed here March 5 to 10, 2014 and LOVED it. Very relaxing. Great location, close to town and the ferry dock to St. John. Pam and Matt are wonderful hosts. Breakfast is delicious. The honor bar for soda, beer, wine, etc. is a very nice touch, great prices, very convenient. The entire B&B is extremely clean and immaculate. Beds have lots pillows and very nice bedding. We slept with the windows open every night, temperature was perfect. Daily maid service with very nice quality towels, soaps and shampoos. The pool is perfect for a swim, lounge chairs available in the sun or shade. Plenty of places to relax on your own or get to know the other guests. Pam has menus for every possible restaurant for you to review. Local cabs arrive within minutes of being called to pick you up for dinner or a trip to the beach if needed. Views of boats in the harbor are wonderful. Nothing bad to be said, this was one of the nicest places I have stayed. Would go back in a heartbeat. You won't be disappointed, hurry up and book your trip!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, you can't go wrong.

I can't praise this place enough. We felt like we had the place to ourselves even though all four rooms were occupied. Pam and Matt thought of everything. I highly recommend this B & B

This was our first experience staying at a bed & breakfast, and it was wonderful! Pam & Matt are fantastic. The breakfasts are delicious, and the rooms were so comfortable and spa-like. We loved the terrace area and the pool and the beautiful flowers. The view is spectacular from every area and the grounds were immaculate. We can't thank Pam & Matt enough for such an enjoyable stay! We highly recommend staying here!
