“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 17 January 2010

I opted for the cheapest rooms and was not disappointed. It appears that the lower priced rooms are a little dated but everything works and was comfortable. The staff does a good job from the moment I arrived and was greeted by Dexter who handed me a cool rum punch. The place has a 5 star diving club ( St. Thomas Diving Club) on site that surely deserves it's 5/5 star rating. Iggie's beach front bar and restaurant is also on sight. Iggies has great service, good food and almost nightly live entertainment. I would definitely return to Bolongos.

Earlier this month we went to the BB resort in St. Thomas. It was nothing special at all. The only word that comes to mind is "average". I did not find it to be that clean. The resort food was again, just average, esp for the price. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, however.

Bolongo Bay was delightful for a 6 days/5 night vacation, all inclusive, with college age kids. We enjoyed a wonderful beach and water front, excellent meals in the Lobster Grille, a steady flow of rum punch and beer, and a very casual relaxing vacation. The resort is small (65 units), self contained, and has no pretense. The staff was delightful. The water front has an excellent beach, water sports [sail, kayak, snorkel, jet ski, paddle boats] , and a lovely cove to swim from--we never used the pool. The health club was small but we were able to work out each morning. The rooms were airy and spacious with WiFI throughout. Iggies down the beach has a great bar and menu, but they need a better chef. 2 of us left the resort to go to St John's but the rest had no reason to leave. The only bill presented at the end was for a 1/2 hour jet ski rental (reasonable). Great family value.

we were pleasantly suprised with our vacation at bolongo bay. we had a great time, and enjoyed our stay very much. yeah ,mabey the rooms need a little upgrade, but they were clean and comfortable. a true value.the beach was great ,and well kept. the staff wwas excellent and very nice. cant say enough about iggies bar and grill ,a good time is to be had by all. we spent christmas there , and wanted for nothing. cab fare was a little expensive in to town and around the island , but what the heck , if yo go on vacation to pinch pennies , you shouldnt be there. try bolongo bay and you will not be dissapointed.

Just returned from a week on STT at Bolongo Bay. The resort and its service are first rate all the way. From the rum punch at check in to the sunset sail on the Heavenly Days our last night - everything was great. Be sure to check out Iggies for lunch or dinner - its right on the beach. Laura in the gift shop helped with all of our questions. If you want to head out to Magens Bay or Coki Beach - both are in great shape. Just be sure to check the schedule for the number of cruise ships in port each day. If there are more than 2 or 3 stay at the beach at Bolongo or day trip to St. John's or Tortola. This was our 7th trip to St Thomas and our first at Bolongo. It wont be our last!

I can't say enough about how great my stay was at Bolongo Bay. It was so relaxing and the staff was outstanding! They made us feel right at home and took care of anything and everything we needed. Vernita handled our tours and activities with an infectious enthusiasm one couldn't help but catch. The food at the Lobster Grille was amazing and Angela was super friendly and a delight every time we saw her! 007 and Pogan were both entertaining and accommodating as they poured our drinks...make sure to order 007's St.Thomas Smile! Simon and Lyndell were both friendly and helpful, always greeting us as we passed by. On our first day Vernita arranged a tour of St.Thomas with the best tour guide ever, Ms. Delita Parsons! Not only was she entertaining but she was a pure delight to be around! I would definitely recommend the tour with her. Everything about our stay was pleasant and enjoyable and I will be recommending this resort to all of my friends. The only negative (and it has nothing to do with the resort because they have no control over it) is the bug trouble which was prevalent on the island so bring OFF with you as it will prove invaluable! So if you're looking for a relaxing, simple, clean beach resort with great people then Bolongo Bay is the place for you! For all those who had negative things to say, you must be really picky or just like to complain...go to a Sandals instead next time...

Just got back from paradise!! The rooms, food, drinks and staff were great. Cant wait to go back next year. We went all inclusive and it was great. Nothing to worry about, only way to go. Take OFF spray with you because when it rains sand flys come out but if you have OFF on ...no problem. Awesome everything!! Loved the iguanas..lol
