This cottage was the birthplace of the Famous Musician and Composer Joseph Parry, whom emigrated to America. It is just outside the town centre within walking distance of other Historical sites.

Very compact terraced cottage, close to Merthyr Tydfils bus station. Typical of the terraced houses of that era. Worth a visit.

“History of merthyr tydfil”

The birthplace of jospeh parry, well known welsh composer.
Its also very close to cyfarthfa castle/museum .
Good parking facilities and well worth a visit.

“compose yourself and visit”

On the edge of Merthyr Tidfil Town with plenty of parking for those driving ,spare sometime to visit the birth place of one of Wales famous composers. Opening times are limited if not booked.The staff are friendly.I visited @2pm spending just under an hour then cycling to Cfarthfa Castle Museum then on to Cefn had a great homemade Steak ale Pie at The Station Hotel,what a GREAT DAY
