This campsite, on a farm on the A470 just north of Merthyr Tydfil is spotless. Spread over a number of fields it's spacious with different areas for campers and tents: the welcome is warm and friendly - typical of the South Wales valleys - and you can even buy two eggs in the little office-shop.
It's a convenient place for exploring the industrial heritage of South Wales (it's not far from the Heads of the Valleys road which gives easy access to the valleys of Gwent and Glamorgan), the Brecon Beacons with their waterfalls and mountains, and the A470 takes you to Cardiff and the M4 in 40 minutes.
