If you like snorkeling and beautiful beaches. Trunk bay, St. John, USVI is the beach to go to. When you get there, don't worry if you don't have your snorkel equipment. You can rent, flippers, mask and flotation vest for $10.00. You need a credit card to get the equipment. Then go on the beach and start snorkeling. You will see so many fish underwater, and the water is so beautiful. Went there to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and hadn't been there in 25 years, when we went on our honeymoon, and I can't wait to go back. It is such a nice place. If you are staying in St. Thomas, it is just a ferry ride to St. John, and then a taxi ride to the beach. Enjoy!!!

We vacationed in St. John in a wonderful villa called Beas Maison on John's Folly Bay near Coral Bay in St. John, USVI May 9th to 16th. It has exrtaordinary views and is extremely clean and sturdy. Would recommend this to anyone with four persons or less. It has a small pool on the deck. The owners, Don and Safia, have thought of anything you might need during your stay. they will answer any question you have and try to insure you have the best time while there. A very beautiful place to base your vacation in St. John. Lots of great restaurants on this side of the island. Skinny Legs a must- best hamburgers we ever had! Don't miss Miss Lucy's the food there is excellent as well as the nearby shipwreck. The tourist trap is also fun. As for snorkeling, nearby salt pond bay is walkable if your a hearty soul and a short drive if your not. there are lots of places to snorkel on the island so we went to a different beach everyday. Driving on the left is crazy with all steep hairpin turns. There are chickens goats donkeys and the occasional person to look out. for. Cruz bay is also a good place for finding good restaurants. We got a rental car from Conrad Sutton there. We dented the bumper so he charged us $150.00 extra which was ok since i guess he could have charged us to replace it..Everyone moves at a slower pace here except when they're driving.Nice relaxing vacation.

St. John USVI is mostly National Park and has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. They are clean, uncrowded, protected and unthreatening. These beaches are perfect places for children to swim and play in the sand. One of our favorites is Hawksnest Beach. Though the snorkeling is not great at this beach, it is incredibly inviting and relaxing. We also saw some huge iguanas in the trees and in the sand behind the beach. I have included one picture of Trunk Bay known for it's beautiful turquoise blue water, crescent shaped beach, and good snorkeling. The only problem with Trunk Bay is that there is an admission charge and it is always very crowded because it's a popular cruise ship shore excursion. Cinnamon Bay is also a great family spot for swimming, snorkeling and camping.
