you have the best view across Cruz Bay, high above the bay in the trees you can see great views over the bay and the small town. If you have time to sit with Kim the bartender, she'll make you a cocktail that will match the view, Fabulous. just make sure you sit at the end of the bar that looks over St Thomas.
the food is adventurous and fabulous always a little different from the rest of the great eateries on St John. We have eaten here many times and each time we have a great experience, the staff/service and the food are all perfect. We always start in the bar and then walk out onto the terrace for dinner, that is a perfect evening for us.
If you happen to be in St John for July 4th this is the only place to be for the fireworks.

The view at sunset was amazing, bar was very cool. Brought young kids with us, not a great restaurant for them, but they were welcomed with open arms. Food was unique and gourmet and pretty good. Desserts were mediocre. Drinks were pretty good.

We have eaten here both times we have visited St. John and will be back on our next visit! On our way into the restaurant, departing diners called out to us - try the ribs - and so we did. They were delicious as was the duck entree and the mahi entree. Very memorable was the amazing sesame crusted goat cheese and local greens salad. Service was very attentive and caring. They noticed my husband was less than enthusiastic with his chosen specialty drink and the bartender came to our table, discussed his alcohol preferences and insisted on replacing it with something else. The dessert we enjoyed for his birthday was unique and delicious. Definitely a great choice for a romantic dinner or for dining with adult children, which we did on our 2nd visit.

Our dinner at Asolare was an exceptional dinning experience. Open your senses to an exciting and complimenting blends of flavors and taste. Our waiter, James, was very knowledgable of the menu items and accurately described each its preparation and presentation. A unique menu item was Asolare's Signature Shrimp and Grits - Sesame crusted shrimp served over goat cheese star anise grits with tomato sauce and sautéed peppers, and sausage. A great blend of flavors!! With dinner we enjoyed an Oregon Willamette Valley Pinot Gris. Make reservations early and ask for a table on the rail for a beautiful sunset view! Don't leave St. John without a visit!

Outstanding menu, food, service and view!

A real treat and they also cater to children.

The food is excellent and very fresh. Restaurant is immaculate and the service was wonderful.

Try the cheesecake for dessert!
