All of these cuisines have been influenced by the original inhabitants of the islands, the Arawak and Carib Indians, as well as the Africans, East Indians and Chinese who arrived later. Add to these the foods of the Spanish, French, British and Danish settlers, and you have an incredible melting pot of ethnic and classic cuisines.Hence Cuisines of the Caribbean, a neo-Caribbean experience conveying the juice and jazz of the islands, a carnival of flavors and lifestyles.

We had stopped in for a drink, but had another place in mind for dinner. The maitre d was great. He checked with us at the bar. When he overheard we were headed to the Banana Deck for dinner he called ahead to get us a table, but found out the kitchen was closed. We ended up staying there for dinner. The drinks menu is fantastic and the drink the same. We were bummed they were out of Lobster, but everyone found something on the menu to like. Their cajun shrimp are FANTASTIC -- four on skewer. We had a mixup on the apps, but it was quickly resolved without an ounce of attitude. All in all a great dining experience and highly recommended.

We're so glad you enjoyed your dinner with us! It's a shame that we were out of lobster, though -- we only bring in the freshest, highest quality seafood, and always try to plan on enough for the night. That said, it sounds like the shrimp really hit the spot, which is wonderful. The next time you visit the island, we hope to see you in again!

Cheers,

Morgan's Mango was recommended to us by the concierge at the Westin as one of her favorite places to eat. We went on Tuesday, which is Lobster night, and, of course, both had lobster! It was wonderful...succulent, well cooked, easy to get out of the shell, and a large piece! With the clarified butter: OMG good! My SO had the crab stuffed lobster with a key lime sauce that was also very tasty. Julie and Rowen took great care of us, and even though it was busy, they checked on us often. The service was great. One thing I recommend, is that if you go on Tuesdays or Thursdays, you should make reservations, Worth a stop.

You can't beat fresh-off-the-boat lobster, right? One of the many perks of vacationing to St. John is the access to the wonderful seafood! It's great to hear that you enjoyed your dinner so much. The next time you visit the area, we'd love to welcome you back in.

Take care,

We ate hear twice because of the food, service and especially the delicious drinks. Our first visit we sat on the porch overlooking the street which was really fun. I had the mango margarita and my husband had the french something or other (I think it had gin and lime juice) My husband LOVED his drink. Food was great as well. We enjoyed ourselves so much we went back a 2nd time, sat at the bar before our reservations so we could enjoy the same drinks. The bartenders were so great to watch, they carefully crafted everyone drinks and presented them beautifully. We were even given a couple samples. (I would also highly recommend the Candela and Hurricane Marilyn.) Cant wait to be n the island again so we can eat here again!

Morgan's Mango is in a convenient location. Simply walk from Mongoose Junction towards Cruz Bay waterfront area and you'll see it on your left, right after you leave Mongoose Junction. The food and service are both excellent! My favorites were the frozen drinks and the Voodoo Style Mahi-Mahi. The jerk chicken quesadillas for an appetizer were great too! The shrimp on the salad was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend visiting Morgan's Mango while on St. John. We ate at Morgan's Mango for our last meal on St. John. Part of me wishes we'd gone here for our anniversary dinner, but the other part is so glad that this was our parting memory. Although we were among the first customers of the evening, there was a delay in seating us, which was a bit uncomfortable because we felt as though we were in the way. However, once we were seated, things couldn't have been better. Our server, Brian, was the best I have ever encountered. He was professional and genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, tactful (he negotiated a minor squabble between our sons masterfully), and had impeccable timing. The drinks were good (even if hubby's drink wasn't quite what he expected), and the empanadas (and their sauce) were delicious. All of us enjoyed our meals (voodoo snapper, coconut shrimp, pork tenderloin, and citrus chicken). If we're lucky enough to return to St. John, we'll definitely return to Morgan's Mango.

We're thrilled to hear that you and your family enjoyed your meal with us! While it's disappointing that your visit started off with a mishap, it's great that Brian and the rest of the team made up for it. After all, there's nothing more important than making sure you leave feeling well taken care of. We hope you and the family get a chance to visit us in paradise again soon -- we'd love to have you back in!
