We were hoping for a nice sunny day with good snorkeling off of St Thomas, but we got a cloudy overcast windy day with large swells. Nonetheless Captain Dave and first mate Kaylee (?spelling) made it a very enjoyable trip. The seas were a bit rough but Dave's boat handling skills were superb - at one point we were all hanging out over the windward rail under full sail in 15-20 naut wind. We are good snorklers so we went off the boat on our own, but he kept a watchful eye in the rib. While the water was a bit murky due to the waves, we did see a spotted eagle ray and barracuda. Lunch and painkillers were great - no need to bring any food or drinks along. Chances are very good we will do this again. The boat was in great shape - he was there waiting for us at Cruz Bay at the promised time.
