This beautiful boat only holds 6 but we were the only couple to Jost Van Dyke. Captain Dave and 1st Mate Caylee pretty much let us set the itinerary. Snorkeling at Lovango Cay, lunch at Foxies on Jost, 2 hours on White Bay Beach and drinks at Soggy Dollar. The crew was awesome. Gave lots of information about the area and ready with the drinks. Lots of fun! This is a must do if you have the time and can afford the cost. We were not charged extra for the day even though we were the only two on the boat. I was told some of the other captains would have either cancelled or charged us the difference.

I have been fortunate to come to St. John several times before, but this trip I had the chance to being my fiancé for the first time. So I booked Cloud 9 sailing charters for a day trip to Jost Van Dyke. Veronica and I had a truly amazing trip and day! Captain Dave and Mate Roberta were exceptional in every way, from making the sailing look easy, to providing great snorkeling, good conversation, cold beverages, and a beautiful trip in every way possible! I have been coming to St. John and the BVI for many years and have chartered many boats, but none, and I do mean none, were anywhere close to Captain Dave, Roberta and Cloud 9. We even made four great new friends with Dan, Kathy, Todd and Wendy as well (our fellow passengers). I highly recommend Jason's (the owner) Cloud 9 and the crew of Dave and Roberta! You will truly have a time you will never forget! Thanks again to Jason, Dave and Roberta for your warm hospitality and making this day our best day of all on our trip to St. John.

Best sail we've ever been on. What a great way to experience St. John. Dave and Kimmie are wonderful! They are very knowledgeable and professional. We spent the whole day sailing and snorkeling. Moored in Maho Bay. Went snorkeling off of Whistling Cay. Kimmie makes very good sandwiches, as well as a killer painkiller. While sailing next to Lovango Island, a dolphin came up and swam next to the boat. Dave put us on the dingy, and dropped us at Solomon Beach to hangout for a bit. All in all one of the best days of our trip.

An absolutely beautiful day of sailing, snorkeling, and exploring. Captain Dave and First Mate Kaley took care to ensure our sailing and snorkeling comfort levels and tailored our trip accordingly. We headed out from Cruz Bay to the snorkel spot at Henley Cay (I think). We had options of snorkel or swim, flotation devices, or chaperoning in the dinghy. We saw flounder, parrotfish, sergeant majors, and all kinds of coral. We enjoyed lunch at Foxy's, and we're able to order while Dave took care of Customs. Our final stop, for something different, was Sand Cay, where we hiked around this botanical preserve and saw many examples of cactus and lizards. We recommend shoes for the hike. On the sail home, Captain Dave told us about the features of St. John as we passed them. We have had several levels of sailing classes and appreciated the captain and crew's professionalism and understated attention to boat operation and customer service. An outstanding day on the water!

We were hoping for a nice sunny day with good snorkeling off of St Thomas, but we got a cloudy overcast windy day with large swells. Nonetheless Captain Dave and first mate Kaylee (?spelling) made it a very enjoyable trip. The seas were a bit rough but Dave's boat handling skills were superb - at one point we were all hanging out over the windward rail under full sail in 15-20 naut wind. We are good snorklers so we went off the boat on our own, but he kept a watchful eye in the rib. While the water was a bit murky due to the waves, we did see a spotted eagle ray and barracuda. Lunch and painkillers were great - no need to bring any food or drinks along. Chances are very good we will do this again. The boat was in great shape - he was there waiting for us at Cruz Bay at the promised time.
