“Nice, but overpriced”

We took the Bad Kitty on a trip to the British Virgin Islands. The trip itself was nice, but not in particular impressive. We spent a total of 450 Dollars for two for the trip including customs, lunch and tip which they remind you of several times.. Outside seating at the boat is limited. All stops seem to be on a schedule and your pushed from one stop to the next.. Other than that, snorkeling was nice, the Baths felt like a tourist highway and the beach was nice too. Nothing exciting though. Three stars only because of the high cost.

“A Great way to see the British Virgin Islands”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

What an amazing day! The staff on the Bad Kitty were incredible. Our excursion started by them picking us up at the dock of our hotel at Caneel Bay. Off to Virgin Gorda where the staff took care of all the customs process for us. Juices and breads from breakfast while we cruised. Due to the recent swells we had to taxi into the Baths and hike down. This is one of the most beautiful places we have seen. After our time at the baths we cruised to lunch on Cooper Island. What an amazing secluded place and the lunch was wonderful as well. They sent our orders in ahead of time so everything was ready as soon as we sat down. After lunch we snorkeled off of Treasure Island. Amazing fish and reef(snapper, angel fish, turtles and barracuda). Our final stop of the day was on Jost Van Dyke at the famous Soggy Dollar Bar, home of the Painkiller. The catamaran we were on drafts such little water that it was almost able to back up onto the beach! Since drinks were included all day the staff made the point to tell us that they would be happy to make us all the free painkillers we wanted. We relaxed on the beautiful white sand beach and waters before finishing it off with a cruise back to Cruz Bay. This Charter company is FIRST class and we will definitely book them again. If your looking for a day trip to the BVI, this is one to take!

“Know what you are getting into.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

The crew was great and the boat is a cool ride. But...

We picked up a brochure and decided to book a trip. The $150 per person price did not include a $40 fee for customs and some other stuff. The crew suggested a 20% tip was customary. So just be ready for all that.

The Baths are a truly amazing place. Think the Great Wall of China or the Isle of Capri. Bad Kitty's brochure showed a stop there but in stead we were piled into a cab and driven from Spanish Town to the Baths for a five minute photo op on the beach and a quick walk through. That arrangement might be your preference but it was not ours. At a minimum a "fly by" so we could have taken in the view from the water would have been nice.

Lunch at Copper Island was nice. It's really a pretty spot. The conch fritters were good but not great. Burger was average at best.

The brochure showed a stop at Norman Island for some world class snorkeling but instead we stopped at Peter Island where the snorkeling was nothing special. Maybe a 2 or 3 on a 1-10 scale. Once we were out of the water the bar opened and the pain killers flowed.

Then it was off to the Soggy Dollar Bar for a little beach time. It is a chaotic place. It that is your thing you will love it.

We were back at St John at 3:00 sharp.

Hey the breakfast very good. The crew very professional. The boat very cool. All and all I guess I'm glad we did it but I would not do it again.

Had a great day on the Bad Kitty 2 with Capt. Jeremy & first mate Mike! Saw beautiful sites and greatly appreciate all of the things Jeremy & Mike pointed out along the way! Would highly recommend taking this trip out of St John (we got on in St Thomas)!

“Amazing Trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 November 2013

My mother and I went on the BVI tour with the Bad Kitty 2, our captain Jeremy and the crew, Kara and John were amazing! They provided us with all the snorkeling gear, breakfast (fresh fruit and pastries) and an open bar.

We departed from Red Hook, St. Thomas, headed to St. John to pick up more people and then headed to The Baths. The crew helped us fill out our customs forms and took care of everything. We weren't able to snorkel into The Baths due to the swells so we docked and took a taxi. The Baths were breathtaking.

Next we headed to Cooper Island for lunch (the crew took our orders and called it in so our food was ready when we arrived). The food was delicious.

After lunch we headed to Norman Island to snorkel.

We were unable to go into the Soggy Dollar Bar due to the waves but that was fine with my mother and I. They provided plenty of alcoholic drinks. Mom said John was a very good bartender. LOL

I would highly recommend this trip! Thanks to Jeremy, Kara and John for making it an unforgettable trip!
