We contacted Sadie Sea before our trip and they were fantastic about corresponding while we nailed down an exact time to take our trip. We chose a sunset trip and when we arrived our party of 4 1/2 were pleasantly surprised to be the only guests. A private ride, how cool?! Tom was accommodating right from the start and was attentive to our parents who are adventurers in their 70's! He was very easy going and discussed the planned route and if we wanted to swim or snorkel, etc. The boat is BYOB and they have water and lemonade as well as napkins and cups. Tom had snorkel gear and brought us to the Mermaids Chair for a great session before heading over to Honeymoon Beach to watch the sunset. Very laid back and easy going, complete relaxation. Would recommend this boat trip to anyone.

I was traveling with a group of 10 and we chose Tom and the Sadie Sea. Tom is a retired Coast Guard member who is living the dream!! Tom met us in advance to get our information for customs as we were headed to the BVI's. His boat is fantastic and well maintained. He is the consumate professional and you can rest easy with him at the helm. The atmosphere on his boat is completely laid back and easy going. I highly recommend this boat especially for all his work he does in support of our nations Wounded Warriors. He sets the example for other business's to follow. You will not be disappointed.

Sadie Sea is a St. John institution for a reason. Captain Tom and Amy are fun people and true mariners! Tom told us he is retired from the Coast Guard and he and Amy sailed around the world before landing in the VI. This expertise made me feel like my family was in great hands on the snorkel trip we chartered on our vacation in November. Tom and his crew knew all of the best spots to get in the water, and they could identify everything we saw while snorkeling. The boat is big and comfortable, and there was only one other party on the charter, so we had plenty of space to move around. I appreciate that they keep their charter groups small so that you have a more personalized experience. I can not imagine a better value for the price of the charter, or a higher quality crew with whom to spend our afternoon. My husband is a veteran, and I was especially impressed to learn that Sadie Sea is a major sponsor of an island-wide fundraiser to bring a non-profit group of wounded vets down the the island each year. That is why everyone knows Sadie Sea; they give back to their community.

Hands down the best boat and crew to enjoy the waters off STJ. We've been travelling to the St John for years and gone on many other boats, but Sadie Sea is the most fun, comfortable, and affordable charter boat Cruz Bay has to offer. Owners and operators CPT Tom and Amy were the highlight of our trip. We were a little hesitant to bring along our 2 year old son, but CPT Tom assured us we would have a blast. We shared the boat with some couples from Caneel Bay, and we stopped four times at great snorkeling spots (Congo, Lovango, and two others). CPT Tom even dropped the other guests off at Caneel Bay using the dingy, saving them a cab ride from Cruz Bay back to the resort. Our son had great time as we floated in the calm waters on some noodles. They even let him drive the boat. CPT Tom and Amy were great hosts, sharing stories and history of St John. They have everything you need on board, to include a cooler of ice cold beer. We even ran into CPT Tom & Amy at the Barefoot Cowboy Lounge (another highly reccomended spot) the next day and they made us feel right at home. We will definatley go out on Sadie Sea again, and can't wait to get back to STJ. Our son keeps asking about Tom, Amy, and the Sadie Sea.

I had an awesome adventure! I call it the sunset Cruz but I found out that the locals call it the booze Cruz.(bring your own booze) I had so much fun! Captain Tom was amazing. He showed us different islands and had a lot of information about them. The captain took us to a place called the mermaids chair to snorkel, Yes! the rocks did look like a chair. Forgot to mention, diner is included at The bare foot cowboy lounge which is right by the marina. Food was great and the Cruz was only 30.00 per person! Definitely will be taking this Cruz again!
