“Favorite snorkel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

This is quite a bit of a drive to get to, and a hot hike but so worth the end result. Stunning uncrowded beach with awesome snorkeling on the left side. There was some shade, picnic tables and a pit toilet. My husband went on to hike the Ram Head Trail which he said was HRR-hot, rocky and rewarding!

“Nice Trails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

Salt Pond Bay on the SE end of St. John has 2 nice walking trails in addition to a nice beach. We walked the shorter (.3 mile) trail around Salt Pond to the ocean. When you get to the beach at the ocean, you will seen hundreds of effigies visitors have constructed from pieces of dried coral. These little people are whimsical and cute. And there is plenty of stuff lying around to make your own to leave for the next visitors.

“Favourite Spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

Came here by boat and loved it. Very quiet, we moored and were the only boat in the bay. Ram's Head hike is nice in the cool part of the day and the hike into, and along, Drunk Bay is a lot of fun if you like to poke about and beachcomb. Fantastic snorkelling around the rocks in the middle of the channel into the bay, lots of coral and fans. We saw large barracuda and rays but the "flora" is the star of the show here.

“Best snorkel experience of our trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

The trip over to "the other side" was well worth it for the views along the drive, the "different" feel of the east side and the gorgeous reef along the left side of Salt Pond Bay beach at the opening of the bay. try lunch afterwards at Skinny Legs back toward Coral bay. Great half day excursion!

“This beach has it all”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

Wide white sand beach. Has 2 trails for hiking. Really good snorkeling on both sides of bay. Saw turtles, rays, and lots of fish. Very close to concordia if you stay there, within walking distance. Probably my favorite beach. It can get crowded.
