I couldn't find it near Westin. Phone # disconnected. Too bad for me in view of excellent reviews.
Miss Lucy's closed on a Saturday night?? Would have tried again, but it's a long drive.

This was one of the best restaurants we have eaten in on St. John! Tanya the owner /chef could not be more welcoming! We felt as if we had come to her home for dinner. She is an excellent cook! When we first arrived she introduced herself and offered us drinks. She made us the most wonderful combination of passion fruit, ginger and tamarind juices! She then brought us out dinner-an assortment of vegetarian delicacies that she has cooked that day. Everything was wonderful! Brown rice with split pea gravy, crispy tofu, a stew with tomato sauce and textured vegetable protein, and salad with a light vinaigrette dressing- everything was flavorful and very satisfying. We were stuffed! The portions are excellent, the food is extremely healthy and the price for everything you get cannot be beat. It does not matter if you are not vegan/vegetarian you will love her food! We cannot wait to go back!

Our snorkel guide at Arawak said to try it and she was right. They literally stopped planning for a party and opened the restaurant to serve us a meal, and it was delicious. Lentil patties and and all were great. Prefect with a USVI Heineken, they are far better than the stateside version. Will definitely go back. Ask the owner's father for his curry potato salad recipe, Sutton is the man.

I had never tried vegan food prior to my awesome visit. Tonia (owner/chef) of Roaryal Abeba has absolutely the best vegan food on St. John. From the flavorful fried cauliflower to the lentil balls it all had me craving for more. I enjoyed Roaryal Abeba healthy cuisine because it's local and affordable. I will forever be a customer.

If you want to avoid the overpriced "downtown" Cruz Bay restaurants where sunburned tourists from Ohio are served by indifferent waitstaff from Connecticut, try out the Roaryal Abeba Restaurant for absolutely great vegan food in a local owner-chef establishment. From the moment we stopped in the afternoon to make reservations, to the evening we visited we felt like family who had been invited over to have a great home cooked meal prepared with fresh, healthy ingredients and a large dose of love for added benefit. Meeting Tonia and her children, relaxing in the "lounge" while local folks came and went with take out containers of that night's dinner specials, without any rush to order, eat, pay and turn over the table to others made us feel like we were eating in our own home, or at a best friends place. Three of the six in our party are committed vegetarians, and they pronounced the dinner as excellent and on par with anything from NYC or DC. Prices are hugely reasonable for this pricey island, and one leaves with a satisfied feeling from having had a great meal and from patronizing a truly local business. We initially had a hard time finding it, but after asking about located it just a block from the Westin. Only wish we had visited earlier during the week we vacationed, as we definitely would have added a second night to eat at RA. Don't miss this island treasure!
