The staircase is cut in to the back of a narrow box canyon. Stairs lead up to Ft Fincastle and the water tower. It is almost like walking through a jungle exhibit at a zoo. Sheer walls and greenery. The water fall was not operating the day I went. Looks like it would be beautiful.
Stairs are wide and have handrails, but they are steep.

“Not much there but a view”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

Great history and story of how this was built but but its just stairs in a rock wall. There is a nice view of the harbor and cruise ships in port. The fort is not much more than a couple of old canons.

“Stone stairs, quite a trek if you want to walk them”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

This is located very closely to Fort Fincastle, historic site but if you only have one day here it could be better spent.

The queen's staircase was one of the most amazing places that I have seen. It was beautiful and different.

“Worthwhile to walk too to see”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

It is worth it to walk here to see this & the nearby fort. This looks more like an ancient relic from within a rainforest rather than someone quite close to downtown Nassau. The history is memorable. If you cannot make it to here, reading about it is enough. We had time & enjoyed the walk here. We spent about 10 minutes actually here though.
