This is worth seeing. It's atop a hill, so if you're walking, it's a bit of a hike. It's also not far from Fort Fincastle/Water Tower/Queen's Staircase area, and of course, Parliament Square.

“Yes the Bahamas' is British”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

We spent some time with Government House and the Courts of Bahamas built on the British Model and a living reminder that the legal legislative and court legacy of Great Britain lives on. We had been away for 35 years and we were impressed on how American the culture of the Bahamas has become ( neither a bad or good thing - just an observation) but it was refreshing to see the real efforts at maintaining the Bahamian roots and movement to independence. And if you ask politely the police in uniform which are a trademark for the capital will allow pictures with them.

“right downtown!”

Not too much to see here, but worth taking a look - big pink buildings, information about the government history available.
