Lot to like about British Colonial. Some things to dislike. Aqua is not great for the money. BC allows cruise folks to hang around the pool/hotel for a fee. Kinda crowds the place up. Not what I paid for.

In general, the hotel was satisfactory other than the additional $5/per person/per day maid fee which was not posted when we chose this hotel. Our first 2 days our room was not serviced until after 5pm following notification at the front desk. Also, restaurant menu prices were steep, forcing us to brave downtown Nassau area after 5pm which was NOT safe.

As a hilton diamond member, don't stay here. By far the worst hilton property I have ever experienced. No towels in the bathroom, had to call 4 times and wait over an hour for them to be delivered, slow rude check in, concierge booked my dolphin swim for the wrong day, the reviews of brown water are true. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Hotel management refuse to follow up on any complaints.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

We used the facilities here as part of a day trip when on a cruise.
Staff were very friendly. The grounds were spotless, everything was clean and well maintained. When we arrived they were even raking the sand. The chairs were nice and you are right on the water near the cruise ships- a 10 min walk.
When purchasing day passes you are able to get a food and beverage credit we had 2 drinks and lunch each and still left a good tip. The staff were fantastic. Next time in Nassau we are going to do this again!!

I stayed here for a week for business. The location downtown is quite nice, but a few cautions and one excellent note. First, the breakfast buffet was quite wonderful. The staff very attentive, the food very good - fruits, selection, excellent omelets. So very happy on that front. For the room...it was a bit small. The water pressure very poor and water out of the tap, not so tasty. No complimentary water provided - even for a Hilton Honors. The beach area is clean..but i worry about the water a bit...i swam everyday and there is a pipe discharging warm water from under the parking lot next to the hilton into the bay. I didn't notice until the last day while swimming - the water was cool because of weather and swam into the warm spot which it to the left looking into harbor. Also with all the ships, etc., not sure how clean. At any rate, if you want to sunbath, enjoy the view, swim in pool - quite nice. The hotel fitness center is okay. Just enough to get a small workout..but not a full gym with lots of equipment. The staff at reception is okay, but could use more people. A caution about the costs....I tipped the room attendant and was surprised at checkout that the hotel automatically charges you $5/day tip to the person. Also there is a resort surcharge 10%, an energy tax 10% - that I wasn't aware of...adds quite a bit to your bill. All in all...decent location for central area for business. Be prepared for taxis to atlantis or other spots...and taxis are expensive. Breakfast great, room good.
