“A good meal”
Reviewed 22 March 2014 via mobile

Had dinner here with a guest at the hotel. Overall, it's a nice meal but not special. If you are at the Hilton and don't have the energy to go elsewhere, this place would be a good choice.

“Average food - service below average!”
Reviewed 4 March 2014 via mobile

We - a party of 6 - had dinner at the British Colonial (Hilton). The quality of the sea-food buffet ($36 p.p.) was average: some dishes were good, some not. The wine ($32 for Zinfandel rose from California) was not served at the optimal temperature and was of poor quality ( much to sweet).
Service was really disappointing. We had to call for a waiter four times to clean up or table before finally somebody took care of that. At the end the bill was incorrect and it took several attempts before we could take home or half full bottle of wine.
I was told that the sea-food buffet at Hilton on Saturdays can be recommended - I don't agree!
Maybe the service was short in stuff, because there was a private reception (wedding) at the same time.

“Don't Do Dinner!”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

While the breakfast buffet is alright, dinner can be dismal here. Last night I had the salmon with dill, a decent sounding dish. After ordering I waited and waited, over a half an hour! After finally getting my food I realized that the reason it took so long was that they had to defrost the salmon. The salmon itself was horribly fishy and way overcooked, although this might have been a blessing in disguise. When the quality if the fish is questionable, perhaps it's better to have it overcooked. There are so many good options nearby that I can't imagine why anyone would eat here.

“Enjoyable each morning and Friday night buffet!”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

While staying at Hilton, we conveniently had buffet breakfast here each morning and enjoyed the fresh fruit and pancakes to start our day. There was more than enough variety to change it up every morning and the quality of food was very good.

The staff were very friendly and always there to welcome you with a smile each morning.

The buffet dinner which is offered on Friday and Saturday evenings was very enjoyable as well. Sadly, I just couldn't fit more in but it was all well presented and so tasty.

Topped it off with one of the best warm bread pudding desserts that I've had in all my travels.

Hats off to the chef and staff at Aqua!

“Breakfast at the Aqua”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

The buffet breakfast is great with a wide verity of food & fruits, you can order a egg omlet of your choice, you will also have a variety of fruit juices, if you have kids it is great for them they sure will enjoy breakfast at the Aqua restaurant at the British Colonial Hilton down town Nassau.
