The rooms have a microwave, frig and gas stove top, so you can eat some meals in your room, which is good, because there is no where to eat breakfast nearby. The complex is so lit up at night, I kept waking up thinking it was morning. I guess the lighting keeps it safe, which is does seem to be, be it is a bit much. The pools are nice and there is a kid slide. The bathroom was a bit dated and in nead of maintenance. This might be as expected for Nassau, but there is some room for improvement.

Room Tip: Ask if there is a room that doesn't receive so much outdoor lighting.

Upon arrival the staff was very friendly, we were greeted by Ms. Sara who is a guest services manager who said they she help us with booking any excursions and also hosted a barbecue on the grounds which turned out good. We were up graded with our room from a studio with queen size bed to and suite with living area, king size bed and jacuzzi, had a small problem with the room safe but, the maintenance gentleman was very helpful. We met the manager who was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds where beautiful with a walkway under the bridge to the beach with inner canal for swimming and watching the fish jump pool with slide and bar near canal and walk way around area with hammocks and chairs with straw umbrellas. We had booked an excursion on our own, and had bad experience. The manager had asked us how it went, when we told him, they reimbursed us half the cost of the excursion and stated that they would contact the company and tell them we were upset. Overall the time and experience there was fantastic.
If you get a chance to go, check out a little wine store just outside the resort "Jade Imports". it's an awesome shop and great people, was our little home away from home.

Sandyport Beaches Resort is fantastic. The staff were super friendly and hospitable. They took time out of their busy schedules to chat with me and recommended attractions and restaurants that made my vacation. Lady Sarah will book any attractions for you and get you a really good price! Talk to Denis the Security Guard for great food options! The location is breathtaking and peaceful; right next to the water with comfy hammocks and schools of beautiful fish! Rooms were great, very spacious and clean; my housekeeper, Marie, was wonderful! Trust me, you will not be disappointed if you stay at Sandyport Beaches Resort!! The #10 bus stops at the front of the Resort and will take you almost anywhere!!

Room Tip: If you travel to the Bahamas in June, bring plenty of mosquito repellant.

If you ever decide to visit here you won't be disappointed especially couples. Right on the water, hammocks on grounds with beautiful views for just lounging around. You can take romantic strolls along the waterside where you can see tons of tropical fishes swimming. The staff is great and very friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable and not a bad view in any either facing the water or the the great pool facility. Highly recommend for romantic getaway or honeymooners.

Room Tip: Waterside rooms offer the more scenic view.

Sandyport Beaches Resort is a beautiful, quiet getaway yet it is convenient to Nassau and the gigantic Baha Mar development by hopping on a jitney bus. It is an RCI Gold Crown Resort several times over. It features three pools, two (small) water slides, a lagoon beach and a secluded ocean beach at the western end of Cable Beach. We had a second-floor one-bedroom unit (521) with an outstanding panoramic view of the Sandyport marina and the lagoon beach. The staff is outstanding, and having Chef Cleveland onsite at the lagoon bar added a new casual dining option for us. The Olde Towne shops, cafes and restaurants are a 5 minute walk. This was our third stay at Sandyport. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a second floor unit to improve your view.

We went to Sandyport for our honeymoon on a recommendation and were not disappointed, in fact we cannot wait to go back.
We initially had a studio room but decided to upgrade, the space was amazing with lovely white rattan furniture and lamps, a well equipped kitchen. A huge bed and jacuzzi, and excellent bathroom amenities including a large walk in shower. The bedroom furniture could do with an update but this did not cause us any problems and we loved the apartment. The balcony overlooks the lagoon where a large family of rays live and can be seen daily. There is also an array of other fish including small barracuda. Breakfast overlooking the lagoon was an interesting event watching the boats and jet skis come and go.
In terms of the resort itself it was always full but remained really quiet, the end of the second week was busier with more children. The resort was a perfect honeymoon destination with peace and tranquility, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were friendly and accommodating always ready for a chat. There are plenty of sunbeds and hammocks around to laze the day away. The beach is a 2 minute walk and is well worth going to, the resort provide sun beds and reception have parasols for those who need. They do need to purchase some more snorkelling equipment so if you want to do this suggest at the moment you take your own.
Reception will make all bookings for taxis, restaurants for you and are on hand to sort out any issues. Lady Sarah, will discuss any activity needs and make bookings. We did a power boat excursion which included feeding wild iguana grapes, feeding sting rays (awesome ) watching shark wrangling and then drift snorkelling where we snorkelled over the sharks....it was a fantastic day out. Lady Sarah also runs an information session on a Sunday which was very informative about the resort and the island.
James is head of maintenance and along with his team work hard to keep things running. The grounds are beautiful and there am are always hard at work. he is a really interesting character if you get the opportunity to speak to him.
Chef Cleveland is an interesting character in a different way. My husband Nigel spent a lot of time with him and we ate various meals, breakfast (fantastic pancakes) lunch (have the omelette) and evening meals, in which he prepares what you want......we enjoyed his salads and he made really tasty vegetarian food for me. My husband is very fussy about food and was impressed with Cleveland's meals. Cleveland trained in Boston and owns da Hot Spot pool bar by the pool. Both he and his wife have been very accommodating to our needs and as we had a late flight stayed I. His eve I g off to make us something to eat.

We were disappointed that the resort restaurant was closed but the others nearby were excellent.
There are a number of eating options and the supermarket is a 5 min walk if you want to eat in.

We chose to hire a car as we had a few days of rain and we show a lot of the island. We were always glad to return to the tranquility offered. The resort lends itself to easy access to everywhere on the island and is only 15 mins from the airport. It has the added benefit of a good security team.

We would definitely return and are looking to do so in the bear future.

The start if June is rainy season which brought out the Mosquitos, this would be true anywhere so ensure you take the usual precautions.

Room Tip: We particularly enjoyed the second floor at the back to look over the lagoon. The one bedroom apart...
