“Great Atlantis trip!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed here mainly because of their reciprocation to Atlantis. The staff at check-in were very nice. The tour/attractions concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We found all of the staff to be very friendly (which wasn't always the case at Atlantis but they are dealing with a lot of people). Would definitely go back.

The park is huge and the comfort suites is next door to Atlantis the main hotel, so location is good.
Breakfast was tolerable most days, but they did run out of coffe a lot.
Took a taxi from airport to hotel $35.00 for 2 people and there are there at hotel to take you back to airport all the time. So cheaper than hotel shuttle.
Hotel is clean and beds comfortable.
Overall good experience.

So, first off, this review is for the whole "all you get" package deal of staying at the Comfort Suites. If I had to only rate the hotel itself I would give it about a 3. Not that anything is really bad their but just its not Brand, Brand new and maybe that's its not all inclusive for the price...but the other pluses definitely bring it up to a 4 when you take in the extras. We have been there twice and was shocked at how much more it has gone up. Guess alot of people found out about our gem. If there is anything to hit a 5 forsure, its the location. Paradise Island is immaculate. Tons of restaurants, beautiful areas to walk around, very good shopping (go to the straw market close to Comfort suites-its wayyyy quiter than the one in Nassau. Its sooo clean and new and stunning on Paradise Island-especially compared to Nassau (which is just over the bridge). Second of all is the breakfast that's included. We filled up every morning before heading out and not only did that save us for buying breakfast, but often we were too full for lunch. The outside breakfast area is just sooo lovely too. Next is the free access to Atlantis water park. with tickets being like 100ish day per person, you will want to stay here just to save on the atlantis fee. The rooms are clean-period. You can't complain about that. Yes its a bit outdated, but hey man its clean and the beds are very good. No quams about the hotel really. Just wish they stuck with their rates from 3 years ago. hope that helps. We seriously want to go back again very soon. Oh totally do the powerboat adventure tour where they take you on a powerboat and bring in the sharks close to shore. its an incredible experience!

Room Tip: don't face the pool-they play music a bit loud sometimes.

Reading the reviews, I wish I was there. Not sure where the friendly staff went. Other than housekeeping staff, I have yet to encounter the friendly staff. Kids eat free promotion was less than promised. Kids eat free IF a parent spends $17 for lunch and $25 at dinner. Only 2 $17 dollar items in the lunch menu. Has been cheaper to pay for kids elsewhere. Also Atlantis deals only for Atlantis guests. So the savings isn't so much. Would have been better staying right on the Atlantis property. Don't let the "deals" fool you. I've been waiting 3+ days to speak with Gen. Manager. Still no luck..... Next time we'll stay elsewhere.

I just checked in, but I was greeted by the two most pleasant and helpful people, Deenya (sorry about spelling) and Tia. If this is any indication of my whole stay, than I'm looking forward to a great time!

we stayed there in mid July for 5 nights/6 days..we had it all with same perks and privileges that all other Atlantis towers guest may have.. the best part of the trip was hanging out at beautiful turquoise private beaches (cove and paradise) in the resort..less crowded in paradise beach..access to water park and all the pools everyday was super plus (i couldn't imagine how super-expensive getting an Aquaventure pass each day by yourself for your family - $149/person for a day). Access to casino with pricey restaurants. Aquarium was awesome in Royal towers where you have to get your daily wrist-band. Free and decent breakfast at CS was another plus to the trip.
Among all good things, here's a little setback with my room in the first day - although the room was great and clean(i would say much cleaner than most of holiday inns in states) , maybe it just happened to my room when i spotted ants making their way in and out the carpet in the sitting area at night and thought about requesting a move to the different room in the next day. But with all the help and great care from my room cleaning lady in the morning, i decided not to change the room as she replaced my carpet and probably vacuum/clean the room thoroughly.. (she probably deserves more than 5 bucks i dropped everyday for her throughout the stay).. my room was at the very far end side of the building near the hotel entrance (opposite from the hallway exit to Atlantis) on the 3rd floor so it was quite a good walk to Atlantis. i'd recommend staying at West wing which is closer to Atlantis.

Tips:
- I took the taxi service from Cheryl Ferguson and Craig(Cheryl's husband) was my cabbie on both trips to/from the airport. I can't say enough how helpful they were so i tipped more than supposed to. here's the link http://www.cherylbahamastaxiandtours.com/ .. i booked it a day before i arrived or you can just email/call before you plan to arrive.. the taxi charges are pretty standard no matter who you ride with.. Craig allowed me to drop by ( yes..you have to pay extra bucks + std taxi charge) local grocery store where i got my water bottles and some sodas and chips.. of course, it is more expensive than in states even for water but expected.. a lot cheaper than 16oz water bottle in vending machine at CS which costs $2.
- i requested a microwave in the hotel which is complimentary and very useful if you packed your microwavable food with you for dinner/snacks just like me.
- washer/dryer available at CS with 5 quarters (U.S)
- walking distance from CS is Marina shopping strip mall with many restaurants and stores where you can possibly find your dinner : i went to Johnny Rockets a few times and Quiznos..Bimini road is not too expensive with live band at night if you don't crave for steakhouse nearby. Also pizza place at marina.
- there are restaurants/bar by the pool at the cove beach where we usually hang out but watch out for not double-tipping like i did because i didn't realize they already included 15% tips in the final check wherever you spend money in Bahamas but you can tip extra if you like..not necessary. I like to warn you that those are expensive just for a burger and fries..soda $3.50.. a beer can 12oz about $7..chili cheese dog is about $11.50 but i would go with delicious Conch fritters reasonable at $6.50.. free refill for soda whole day(don't throw away your cup). i tried local brew 'Bush Crack' and 'Kalik'
- there is a liquor store named Bristol's across the street from CS where you can find a variety of beer, wine and liquor - 12oz beer can is about $2.50 and i got some cheap chilean wine(Concha y Toro Frontera Chardonnay 1.5lit bottle) about $12.50 which is not bad. Dunkin Donuts is right across this place.
- water-taxi is available under the new bridge to downtown Nassau : $4/person took my family to the port next to Straw Maket in downtown from where i took another bus(#10?) to get to Fish Fry with $1.25/person. Fish Fry is the place where you can find famous local bahamian's seafood restaurant. i would recommend 'Oh Andros'. I took a taxi back to CS with $6/person. At downtown, you can also find McDonald's, Subway and Starbucks.

Overall, it was a great fun vacation i ever took with my family. They loved it and we like to go back again. As I said, white sandy private beaches with turquoise and blue water are the most unbelievable and satisfying.. i'd never want to go to any other beaches again..
Lastly, hotel staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. They all made my vacation beautiful and worth-while.
