I stayed in room 110 during the week of July fourth with my husband and 19 year old daughter. The only good thing about staying here was the beach. It was the clearest water I've ever been in and the beaches were very clean. House keeping was not thorough. There were caterpillar worms in the tracking of the balcony doors and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The maintenance was lacking. The pool was consistently not clean. The restaurant was just mediocre food and weak drinks. The room was fine except for the big iron burn in the rug and the shower drained extremely slow. There were also hairs left over in the shower from the people who stayed before us. The patio was okay but the plants were half dead and brown. The table was chipped around the entire edge. The wifi was extremely slow and non existent sometimes. You also have to get a new password/login every day from the front desk. At the front desk, we received terrible customer service from Sharon, the office manager. While we were here, there was a power outage for 5 hours (9pm-2am approximately). There were NO backup generators and no emergency lights so we were in complete darkness without air conditioning in our room. Information was not given as to what was going on and we were not given flashlights to navigate our two story room with a SPIRAL staircase. We could see all the neighboring hotels lights on so obviously other hotels invest in their guests safety and comfort. When we inquired the next morning, we were told by the front desk that this doesn't happen frequently and they do not have back up generators. The full time resident we talked to said it does happen often. There is an entire laundry list of other things that went wrong and weren't up to par. We wouldn't stay here again.

Dear Jeanee 197,
Your review title of “Horrible” accurately describes how we feel that you were unhappy with your stay. It is true, that there are no backup generators for this property, as well as many other small properties on the island. Unfortunately, the cost is just too demanding for the minimal times this situation occurs.
We are happy to say that we have a tech team that has scheduled remediation of the WIFI issue for late this fall, after the cable company has finished installing a new high speed line to the property.
Thank you for revealing to others that our beach is the clearest water you have ever seen. It truly is beautiful and we are happy that you had that good memory to take home with you.

Stayed at Atlantis Royal Towers couple of years ago, very
expensive. Wanted to stay close to Atlantis for the casino and the marina. The sunrise is not only on the beach with ocean view villas, but it is just literally a 3 min walk to the Atlantis property, you don't even cross the street.
CARLA, who worked at the front desk, was so helpful. I talked to her before we arrived there a few days before we arrived. She arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport. When we walked out of customs outside our driver was right there holding my name card up.
CARLA thanks for everything, we will be coming back next summer.

We picked the hotel and worked with Carla to stay prior to and post a week on a boat scuba diving There are many different condos available Talk to carla to get what you would like She will take care of you as she did us
Loved the resort. Slept in the hammocks, swam in the perfectly clear ocean and enjoyed the gorgeous beach
Turns out folks who live in Nassea don't use any beach furniture so along the island you will see people either in the water or laying directly on the beach same here

The resteraaunt is good
loved this hotel and will return again
the staff makes you feel at home and are happy to help

Room Tip: rooms away from the lobby if you can afford the beachfront do that they are the best

I was travelling on short notice and could not get in at the British Colonial Hilton, so I had the chance to try something new. The Sunrise Beach Club offers a good value for a family vacation or a Spring Break getaway but is not business friendly.

Beach access was good, and the pool and grounds are nice. The availability of the fully-equipped kitchen is a major money saver if you are staying for more than a day or two, and the Tiki Bar & Restaurant offered a distinctly island feel. I had a drink, but did not sample the menu, and with a 7:30 AM opening time, there was no opportunity for breakfast before a busy day of meetings.

While the rating for business travel is perhaps a zero, the value and accommodations for a party of four or five merits consideration.

Room Tip: Suites facing the pool area may be noisy

We love to stay on Paradise Island but the hotels are pretty expensive and since my kids are young adults we need more than 1 room so townhouses and condos are the way to go for us. We get more for our money and you get that with the Sunrise Beach Club. This is not a hotel and a lot of the units are privately owned. We rented 2 units, a 1 bedroom that sleeps up to 4 (unit 106) and a 2 bedroom for my son and his friends. Both units were rented directly from the owner which were both great. The front desk was very helpful and nice despite not renting directly from them. There is no daily housekeeping here or safes like when you stay in a hotel. There are 2 security guards on duty, one at night and one during the day. Both very pleasant. The day time security guard called cabs for us every evening even though that isn't her job. The on site restaurant is good too. Our units were fully equipped with everything we needed. My son stayed in unit 9 and there was a washer and dryer in it but there are washer and dryers on the property if needed. This place is much less expensive than some of the surrounding hotels that cost a small fortune. The property itself it well maintained and the pools were clean. The beach was great!!! Very calm crystal clear water. While on the beach we were asked daily if we wanted to jet ski but we said no and weren't bothered again. There is also a beach bar and massages offered. We lost power one day and the front desk were trying to get some answers for us but they couldn't get through to anyone to give us answers. Luckily it was day time and we cooled off at the beach. There are no generators here but the kitchen was able to still serve food. This property is only a short 2 minute walk to the Atlantis so we rarely took a cab to get there. Some of the units are a little outdated BUT in my opinion it doesnt matter as long as the units are equipped and clean which ours were. We would definitely stay here again and rent from these owners were extremely helpful in answering questions before we booked. Oh there is a public walkway to the beach next to the property BUT it is gated off and locked at night. Also the guest walk way is monitored by a tv. We didn't see anyone use that walkway the week we were there because it was locked the whole time. There is also another public walkway next to the Rui and I think that is used more often.

Nice place On the beach but only the larger units have ocean view. Units are very tired and need upgrading. Walking distance to Atlantis. Beach is beautiful. On site restaurant and bar is a beer and burger place, serves breakfast as well. Ok food in a pinch

We stayed here with our teenage sons. The beach was great. The one bedroom villa was very clean and comfortable for a family of 4. The food at the restaurant, Violas, was very good, and compared to other places, not so expensive.
If you stay here be aware that taxis to Nassau are very expensive.

Room Tip: Room 112 had newer living room furniture.
