We just spent a week with friends in a 2 BR, 2 Bath condo. Check online photos. It is just as the photos show...no surprises. Rooms were cleaned daily, spacious, and bedrooms were separated for privacy. Staff was very accommodating. The highlight was happy hour at Columbus Tavern, 40 steps from our condo. MiLadys makes the best tropical drinks and complimentary conch fritters were a treat. Food there was also very good. Taxis were readily available thru front desk. Beautifully maintained grounds.

Paradise Island Harbor Club is a timeshare resort, located in an out of the way location, at the complete end of Paradise Island. The island is small, up-scale and relatively safe. It is a densely developed area of small resorts and private villas but is dominated by the Atlantis Resort Complex.
Most of the units at Paradise Island Harbor Club have a view of the Marina. Unfortunately, some of the views look into the dining room of the, on site restaurant, Columbus Tavern. The rooms are relatively clean, rather spacious, but the decor is dated and uninspired. Don't expect luxury or amenities beyond the cost of the bare bones time share price. It is basic comfort, a good place to relax with friends and family and use as a base for the self -catered lifestyle that is offered.
If you don't mind walking, it is a 10 minute walk to breathtaking Cabbage Beach (past the smelly water treatment plant) and a 20 minute walk to the Atlantis Resort, Marina Village and a limited number of local shops. A car can be helpful, but not essential, considering the challenge of driving on the left side of the road. Drivers are fairly courteous and the roads are fairly well maintained. Parking downtown on Bay Street can be a challenge, so it is worth it to pay to park in lot. Cabs are expensive, but once you get off Paradise Island there is inexpensive public transportation and a greater variety of dining options.

decent place - relatively clean place, and good if you like walking. we eschewed the $9 cab everywhere on the island and just walked the 20 min walk to atlantis, etc. 10 min walk to the beach. good place to stay if you're looking to not hang out at the hotel much, just use it as a base and go stay at the beach or do activities.

Paradise Island is absolutely gorgeous. Don't stay on the mainland! It's a different world out on Paradise Island. The landscaping is beautiful and well maintained, flowers are everywhere, you can walk or bicycle on the sidewalks day or night without a thought for your safety, everything you need is right down the road from the hotel... restaurants (we loved the Green Parrot on the harbor, an outdoor burger bar), shops (the Paradise Splash has great souvenirs), a bank, a small grocery store (very expensive), an ice cream shop... We went exploring on the bicycles (furnished by the hotel) and discovered Cabbage Beach only about 5 minutes away. Wow, a perfect, pristine, uncrowded beach like you've never seen. We found the Village Marina near Atlantis, a wonderful place to hang out at night... with shops, pizza, music, yachts... See the aquarium at Atlantis (go thru the casino and walk in free after 8pm), go on the Flying Cloud sunset cruise (includes supper and transportation), and don't forget to snorkel (Stuart Cove's). It was the best vacation I've ever been on. Yvette and Michelle at the front desk were so helpful. There is a huge condo project going up directly in front of the hotel, so our place was kinda tucked away behind it. But we loved coming home to a quiet place with a wonderful view of the marina. The rooms are immaculate and very large. I loved the tile floors. The balcony/patio is huge. We traveled all over Paradise Island (on the bikes! ) and all the hotels are lovely, but we were so glad we picked this one. It was perfect for us.

The hotel is small with comfertable accommodations. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. The units are dated, build in the 80's, but as clean as you would expect for an older timeshare property. Our unit had all the kitchen wear you need to make your own meals, if you wish. This little place sits on the water, marina side, with a view of New Providence Island across the water. The staff are friendly and relaxed. They do what they can to accommodate you.
Our reason for choosing Paradise Harbour Club was a quick inexpensive beach holiday to break up the long end to winter. The PHC did just that. Paradise Island is a beautiful little island once you get away from Atlantis. The roads are quiet, flowers are everywhere and it's very safe. We walked without a care day or night. The beach is wonderful. Very long, clear blue water, we snorkeled off the beach and could see 70-80 feet under water. There aren't many fish in the area due to the nice sandy ocean floor but it was still nice to look around under water. This end of the beach is so quiet and nice. The other end is Atlantis and very much the opposite. We did walk down to Atlantis and it has it's appeal. That just wasn't what we were looking for this time of year.
PHC is older and there is a huge condo going up behind it. Right behind it, like 8 feet away.
If you just want a no thrills inexpensive trip to a beautiful island and beach and nice little hotel to chill at with or without the family, PHC might due.
One very good thing was the snorkel trip the hotel offers twice a week. We had a good group and the Capt. decided to take us over to Rose Island. It was fantastic, great little private island. We were there for 3 hours and wanted to stay longer. Ask about the trip and be sure to ask if you can be taken to Rose Island. One of the best day trips we have ever taken.
We had an issue with the front desk having us change rooms the last night due to them being over booked and a timeshare owner coming into the unit we were in. It was a drag but we got a late check out in return and all was good.
We travel often and enjoyed our stay. We wouldn't likey return to PHC or Nassau. It was a nice one time visit for us and would recommend it to others if we knew their expectations.

Beware of taxi. I got ripped off when I came from the airport. The rate for two people is $32 from airport to hotel and vice versa. Make sure you ask how much it is before the driver starts moving.

There is an ongoing construction behind the hotel. You have to walk by it entering/leaving the hotel area. This is probably the only one thing I didn't like because the workers sometimes loiter around the sidewalk of the hotel and it made me feel uncomfortable when they stared or made catcalls whenever I walked by.

Anyhow, on to the positive... my room has a beautiful view of the marina/ocean and I made sure my windows are always opened so I can wake up to the sunshine and the chirping of the birds. They were pretty loud in the morning but it was a nice feeling. Eating at your balcony is a must because you can enjoy the sunrise ocean view. The locals said its always a warm 80 degrees year round so it is not cold to sit outside in the morning in your t-shirt/short. Also, the room is clean and it has a kitchenette that comes with pots/pans/plates/utensils/microwave/oven/toaster/blender/etc. so technically I could've cooked there but I pretty much hang out at Columbus Tavern.

Columbus Tavern is directly in front of the hotel. Happy hour ($3/drink) is from 5-7pm each day. You have to try the pina colada made by the bartender Miladys (great name, huh) and the conch fritters appetizer. The seafood entrée is good but its pretty expensive. Just have the drinks and several appetizers and you are all set. (Note: 15% tip is included in the bill. Most place adds the 15% tip automatically.)

The hotel service is good. You can rent a bike (doesn't have a hand break; old fashion bike where you have to pedal backward to break) and fishing rod for free. I rode the bicycle (follow the traffic rule - left side of the road) around Paradise island and there wasn't much traffic so its safe riding a bike. I also went fishing on the marina dock and got free bait (uncooked conch meat) from Columbus Tavern. You can just go ask for bait and they are pretty friendly about it. On a clear calm day you can see the ocean floor at the dock so it was fun seeing big and small fish nibbling at the bait. If you manage to catch a large enough fish you can bring it to Columbus Tavern and have them cook it for you. Or if you have a kitchenette, you can ask the Tavern to clean it and you can cook it back in your room.

The hotel also provides snorkeling for $40 on Tues or Thurs. I was told to register by 9:30am Tues morning but on the actual day the hotel front desk told me the Captain is taking a vacation now so I would have to use another tour. I was annoyed because I asked them two days in a row to confirm the snorkeling trip and both times they said 9:30am Tues. Anyhow they helped me sign up for another snorkeling trip ($70) somewhere else.

The best part about this hotel is its location to Cabbage beach. It is a 5 min walk and it is one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen. Since this part of the beach is on the other side of the island (opposite end of Atlantis) so its not too crowded. I pretty much had the beach to myself most of the time and I can see the dotted crowd near Atlantis side. I'm glad I was on this side of the island. Also, don't try to look for the entrance yourself. Ask the hotel staff to have someone bring you the first time. When they first told me I walked 25 mins to a public access entrance (near Riu/Atlantis side) and it was crowded there. At first I was surprised it was this far but I asked the hotel staff again and they had someone shuttled me to the one 5 mins (walking) away (beach access right next to Paradise Island Beach Club). Also, the mini mart is here too. Its gated so you have to walk into the lobby of Paradise Island Beach Club and tell them you are headed to the mini-mart. They will point you to a side door where you can find the mini-mart.

There is only one main road at Paradise Island. It is the Paradise Island Drive so if you walk here you would come across the cloister garden (15 mins from hotel) and at the end the bridge and Atlantis (30-35 mins walk from the hotel). The cloister garden is beautiful and usually empty. It is worth going in to see and take some pictures.

The hotel has free shuttle to downtown or to the strawmarket. There's a lot of abandoned stores and it wasn't as nice or feel as safe as Paradise Island. The strawmarket is interesting if you want to get some souvenirs. They jacked up the price by 50% so you really have to haggle to get back down to regular store price. If you don't feel like haggling then just go to a real store and get the items. Cable beach isn't as nice as Cabbage beach but if you want to see it you can either take a cab or take the #10 bus. Its a mini bus and they never close the bus door. It was actually fun for me because the bus slowed down but didn't completely stop and I had to jump in, sit down and the driver would just continue picking up people this way. You pay $1.25 when you want to get off.

This was my gf and my first trip to the Bahamas (Feb 2009) and we had a fantastic time and the Paradise Harbour Club and Marina was a big part of that. The property is not a 4 star all inclusive resort typical of Paradise Island, but if you like clean, quiet and spacious rooms, a friendly staff, added perks like free bike rentals and access to an amazingly pristine and uncrowded beach (8 min walk, 3 min bike ride) all at a reasonable price; this is the place for you. My favorite part was having breakfast every morning on the balcony overlooking the marina and sea, watching sail boats go by. Beautiful! Tip: Try for a top floor if you can to maximize the view. Also, taxis are ridiculously expensive. The hotel has some free shuttle services, but Paradise Island is pretty small and I really recommended the bikes, even downtown Nassau is a short bike ride away and is a great way to see both islands, pick up some groceries or go to the beach. Also, the construction other reviewers have noted is not on this property itself, but next door. When we stayed it was a good way done already and we did not notice any noise at all.

The restaurant near the hotel is pricey just as all dining options in the Bahamas, but actually had pretty decent food. Happy hour is the best time to go for the specials and to socialize/get tips with other guests (who often were timeshare owners). Go to the Fish Fry in Nassau and for the freshest conch salad, go just over the bridge in Nassau where there is a bunch of stalls and a mini market where the conch fishermen sell their catch (Daphneys was amazing!!).
