We spent a week at Harborside resort with our baby and our four-year old daughter. We rented a one bedroom suite and it was perfect for our family. We really enjoyed the comfort and space of the facilities. It was especially handy to have a kitchen as we chose to have breakfast in the room before taking off for the day.

Our family of four (kids are 10 and 12) just spent a week at the Atlantis Harborside Resort and had a phenomenal time. We loved the space and convenience that the unit offered. We were less than a two minute walk away from a lovely pool and a quick shuttle ride to the main resort areas. We never waited more than five minutes for a shuttle all week and the drivers were all friendly and courteous. The unit was very well maintained and we saved a fortune by using the kitchen for breakfast and dinner and only eating out for lunch. Everything we needed was at our fingertips and when we requested extra towels or blankets, the staff brought requested items in minutes.
Thanks to other TripAdvisor reviews that we read, we brought a cooler and suitcase with food from home given the high cost of food on the islands. We also used Food 2 Go and found their service to be easy, pleasant and efficient.
Our entire family loved the laid back feel and quiet at the Harborside. It was quiet, pleasant and relaxed yet minutes away from the excitement and activities of the main resort. Furter, the marina village is a short walk away.
In short, we really felt that we enjoyed the best of all possible worlds at the Harborside - no crowds or noise or hassles while having the ability to enjoy the excitement and activities of the resort when we wanted.
The only suggestion that we have for improvement is to perhaps upgrade the mattress on the pull out beds on the couch. Everything else was perfect and we would definitely return.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms tend to be quieter. We had a top floor in building 4 facing the marina and found the...

The Harborside Resort at Atlantis is a property owned 50/50 by Atlantis and Sheraton Vacation Club, making it the ideal place for a family like ours, looking for a nice accommodation (within our Resorts family) convenient to all Atlantis has to offer.
The Villas are in very good condition, spacious and practically arranged; we've been in a one bedroom, harbor view, very close to the pool (the one of the resort, not the ones at Atlantis).
We love to have our kitchen, the refrigerator, a dining area and a lot of space, even if it's just the 3 of us (2 adults and a 4 1/2 years old rascal) which makes this option, to us, far superior to the classic hotel room.
Atlantis is at walking distance (10 min) and well served by the internal shuttle service (one of the few things you'll get free) taking you to all towers.
With your check-in you'll get the pass for the water-park (139 USD/person per day...) and there starts the fun..
The beaches are nice and the weather... not a coincidence that Bahamas were named "The Islands of forever June"

Room Tip: You'll get a building according to your check-in date, if you can get a 1 bedroom, you won't...

As a timeshare owner in Scottsdale, Az and Ka'anapali Maui, it's hard to compare.
Harborside was fine but not as quality as our other Starwood ownership properties.
Why?
The maintenance department was pressure washing the pool deck the entire week! Bad timing....spring break?! I know there is never a good time but why not after pool hours or non peak vacation time?!
The ceilings are thin! Every morning we could hear the people above us pee and flush.
We were staying less than a week so did not have maid service, however, one afternoon my husband and son went to the room and a staff worker entered our room?! My son interrupted his entry and the worker quickly excused himself. We reported this to the security manager but have not heard back from him yet!
We bought internet service one day to check on family at home. Service was off and on, but expected this from other reviews.
There are two computers in the lobby to use if you really need to be connected. Please note these computers are out in the open and people can see what you are looking at. A older man was looking at his email while my son and I were waiting and he opened an email that had porn pictures! I then cleared my throat very loudly so the dirty old man had a clue since kids were around. I know this has nothing to do with Harborside but just want people know.
There is a bus to the grocery store that leaves every morning. For $7 they will drive you and wait an hour for you to shop. I would suggest Foodstore2go delivery. Prices are comparable to the grocery store and your on vacation, who wants to food shop?
The concierge desk was great and assisted us with questions and reservations.
My 2 cents worth....you decide.

Room Tip: Top floor so you can't hear the people above you.

While this property is not on the beach, it is adjacent to the bay with the lights of Nassau just across the way. It was quite, the staff at The Point restaurant, which is on the bay, were excellent..and very friendly.

It is an easy walk or free shuttle ride to the Marina Village and Atlantis.

There is never a lack of items to do at Atlantis. While some activities will take a very long time to actually walk to it certainly is worth the walk. We could take a shuttle bus but found walking was just as fast in most cases. The beach is the furthest walk and will take you 25 minutes.

Be aware that all food and drinks will incur a 15% Gratuity that is not very noticeable on the bill this is even charged at the snack shacks where you stand in line to get food and take your food with you which just seems crazy to me.

We stayed in Phase 1 Building 2 which was at the time being worked on and clearly were doing updates to the building so I think future stays will be nice. Some items I noticed were a little run down even at the Atlantis but I guess a resort that large is probably a major undertaking to maintain year round.

Room Tip: I think Phase II are the better rooms to stay in as they were build more recent but from what I coul...

Yes Atlantis is expensive. This is a reality that one has to accept if you plan on staying here. Once you get past that realization, you can start to really enjoy this place. We brought our two young (<3y/o) children here and thought it was the perfect place on Atlantis for a young family. We were close enough to the main resort to walk (I don't know why so many people say it is far away?), but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet when the kids needed to have their naps. The nearby pool was perfect for young children (zero entry), and the rooms were clean and spacious, with extremely friendly staff (contrary to what some others have said). We would happily return here again in the future.
