Off the beaten path, tucked away on the waterfront, the Parrot offers decent Bahamian pub grub at an reasonable price. Compared to the over-priced Atlantis affiliated joints, its a welcome change, we have been here many times over the years, the wings are outstanding as are the blacked chicken sandwich, conch fritters,& buffalo chicken wrap. While u wait take a cannonball in the pool to cool off. A real gem of P.I, seek it out!

I would have given this place a "pass" after reading the reviews prior to travel but my husband had it on his "Paradise Island Bar Crawl" list of things to do. It was a little off the beaten path - under the bridge - but if you head into the marina parking lot you really can't miss it. You also really couldn't miss the stagnant green pool water in the marina pool. Luckily we weren't there to swim. The few tables were filled with locals and families eating dinner. We headed to the bar stools and got fast and friendly service from the female bartender. We all ordered cold draught beer - served cold - in plastic cups. The crowd seemed to be mostly locals and a hand full of people off the boats docked at the marina. We considered eating here - but not seriously. We passed a food truck right next to the bar and decided there was a distinct possibility that was the kitchen. I don't know if that was the case but it really felt like a bar and not a restaurant. After a couple rounds we did pay and find dinner elsewhere but we would go back again to enjoy the casual, waterside bar scene at The Green Parrot.

I chuckle when I read the bad reviews on here....so uptight!!! I am a local/ex-pat chef here and visit the green parrot twice a week. They remember your name, hustle way harder than resort staff, and the food is fast and really, really tasty. Flies, well you're outdoors people....it is what it is. If you can't handle a fly or two then stay home and eat inside. Great breeze on the water, view of the harbor sunsets, occasional fireworks. Coldest beers ever!!!

Green Parrot was recommended and we walked down for dinner from Atlantis. Its hard to find. Everyone kept saying its behind the police station but the police station isn't marked. Green Parrot is on the harbor near the bridges and you will need some locals to help you find it but its a fun place and worth the effort. We had Conch Fritters and the Manwich, both good and large enough to share for us. Best of all, we didn't spend a lot! There was a lively crowd watching the World Cup and almost all locals.

First of all, the place is a tiki bar next and below to the main bridge. It is a tiki bar with a few tables close to the channel side and a swimming pool on the other side. Full of flies all over the place...not worth describing the scene once you get your food. I believe this is, in part due to the Tables, which they seem to be wiped out maybe once a week.

We order a soda, a beer a salad a quesadilla, and a poboy. The quesadilla was for my 10 year old who ordered it because of the guacamole...which...shone by its absence. When we asked, the waiter just said, "oh no, no gaucamole"...even though there is a picture of the plate with a side of guacamole in the menu. Not even an apology and...never mind a discount.

My salad was with blackened mahi mahi, which had such a disgusting skin ( yes they served it with the skin, can you believe it?) that not even the birds around the table would eat it.....on top of it all, they do add, like the whole island does, a15% gratuity to the check.

All in all, we ate like crap for almost $70.00. Actually i would rate -2 over 10 if i could...AVOID!
