We are currently waiting at the airport to go home and all we can think about is not wanting to go home. From the moment you check in you are received with open and warm arm. Terry checked us in and she most definitely set the tone for our vacation, she made us feel so welcomed that I asked to speak to the general manager to give her kudos on the amazing customer service she gave. The customer service you get from EVERYONE at the hotel is unbeatable, all the way to the maids who clean your room. They take the time to ask how your day is going to wishing you safe travels back home. The hotel was clean, beautiful, and festive. The steak house was amazing, you just have to get there early to be able to get a table because it fills up quick. The buffet was great, typically we don’t really enjoy the buffets when we go on vacation but this one was great! Even the room service is quality food. We had the best bartender Prescott that we went to for most of the weekend because he made drinking even funner (haha). Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and will most definitely recommend this resort to our friends and family!! Honestly you truly feel and make a connection with staff because they go the extra mile to truly make you feel at home and welcomed! We will most definitely be back!!

From Check In to Check Out our Experience was Wonderful. Friendly, Helpful Staff.
Hotel Renovations were Elegant and immaculately kept. We were on the 11th Floor with a Superior Oceanview Room. Buffets and all Specialty Restaurants were Excellent!!!
A Special Thank You to our Servers at the Restaurants (Tanya , Shoquan, Tenne-Shio,
YesLandia, and our Smiling Mona Lisa who welcomed us our very first day. Apologies if names are not spelled correctly. Everyone at the Krystal Restaurant for both of our dinners were amazing!!!!! No hesitation in our returning. We Thank you for our Relaxing and most Enjoyable Vacation!! Jan and Lee CT. 9/1 thru 9/8/2018

Love the RIU product! The food at the buffet was excellent. The rooms are clean! Ok, the lobby smells like a fart. Ten dollar cab + tip, to the casino....worth it! The beer at the pool was cold. Drinks are great! Bring a JUMBO mug....they only give tiny plastic cups. The music at the pool was "Techno/ Rap"..... Wish it was more top 40 dance music. Bring "Fruit Loops" from the buffet for the pretty fish at the beach.....they swim right up to you! AMAZING! The coffee shop girls were not friendly. The crew at the pool were FABULOUS! The servers at the buffet were helpful & friendly! Pack your own shampoo/ conditioner & soap. We will return to this RIU! LOVE IT THERE!

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the less noise from the fun at the pool

I stayed in the same hotel back in 2013, it’s old & boring , after recent revocation, much more beautiful & clean , this new modern design more attractive, however when I walked into my room, this is junior suite ocean view, I barely can see the ocean, not only the room small the balcony so tightly & cramp, more caution was the room smell bad, all pillow small & stinks, my daughter was totally freaking out, can’t sleep all night !
The buffet breakfast, lunch & dinner almost the same like 2013, but service dropping , Krystal is the best so far, Japanese restaurant has good service not the cooking horrible !
The bar next to the pool most Bartender had attitude!
SPA was so so too !
Everything changed but don’t seem change for good! Only the night life entertainment is more improved compare 2013!
If you want to survive in this tough business world, Riu management has much more work to do, cause you will have long way to go! I will be more hesitated to return soon if I don’t see any real good improvement!

With a crew of 16, I was very worried picking a place that 16 people would enjoy. Well this was that place. The staff were phenomenal, food was great, & everything was perfect. The one not so great thing I can say is that the lobby tended to smell like sewer. Not to the point it made you sick but enough to notice. The restaurants, rooms, hallways, and club didn’t have that smell. Everything else was superb. I will recommend to you.
