Great resort, wonderful people everyone was helpful. Resort still a work in progress. We wish to especially thank Debbie at Guest Services for her professionalism in dealing with our matters. She is truly the greatest! Both my sister and I say that our stay was awesome. We will visit again.

I have been going to Freeport Resort every year for 12 years. I find it a beautiful oasis on a tropical island. Over the years have seen many changes but the hospitality and care from the people there is beyond compare. I have made many life long friends there and plan to continue going back for many many years to come.

The accomodations are very clean and comfortable and I really enjoy the laid back atmosphere. Smiling Pat is a wonderful tour person and really wants visitors to know the special things to be found on the island.

If you are lookimg to excape a fast pace world and just relax, this is the place to go!

Had a great 3 weeks at this resort.
The apartments are a bit tired, and could do with upgrading.
On the positive side, they are very comfortable, and spacious, with plenty of everything one would need.

There is a small swimming pool and a hot tub, and the grounds are very well kept.

Once a week they have a true Bahamian dinner, with a nice atmostphere. You must try Linda's bahama-mama,a local cocktail, only $3,which is $6 and $7 in the town, happy hour you get two for $5

As the resort is bit far from Lacaya, the staff are wonderful, they take you to the beach daily, and also to the local supermarket for free. To go to Lacaya, they charge $4 per person, and they go 4 times daily, but you will have to find your own way back. Taxis cost $14 dollars, but we used the local bus service for $2 each, and the drivers are so helpful and jolly.

All the staff are fabulous which makes for an enjoyable stay.

Our accommodation was very comfortable in a large unit that was attractively furnished. We chose to rent a car (from Brad's) for the last 3 days we were there as otherwise you are more or less stranded, although there are local buses nearby.

Room Tip: Do not stay in a unit that is close to the pool heating pumps.

The pool area is awesome, quite, peaceful, local music playing in the background, the staff is helpful, always around if you need anything, room is spacious and clean, I rented a car and travelled all over the island, I recommend driving to the east end, check out pelican beach on the east end, go to the very end of the highway, you will see a green snack shop on the left, she has fried lobster for $12.00, lucyan national forest is on the the way to the east end, stop and walk through, you will get to see ben's cave and bats, walk through the swamp to the beach, by the hotel is a white sandy beach at lucayan beach, you can rent jet skies, there is a place to buy drinks and food, on the west end of the island - check out paradise cove, and be sure to eat some fried conch, keep going toward the west end and stop by the pink pearl restaurant, it is very very nice, I did not see a nicer restaurant on the island, it was built march 2013, also located close to the hotel is the cruise ship docking area, that is where we found the coconuts and shopping area.enjoyed my vacation
