We reserved the stay to celebrate a family birthday. We arrived by boat and cleared customs. There are slips available in the adjacent marina. Arriving at the marina, we had reserved golf carts, the best method of getting around the island. DON'T FORGET TO LOCK UP YOUR CART. And they drive on the left side.

The Hilton Resort itself is a beautiful property. Very modern. Now the bad part, we arrived at 1400. The staff said check in was 1700. We arrived at 1800, room still wasn't ready. Check out is 12:00, so we got screwed out of some time. Set a foul mood for the day. Finally getting a room, we had a trek to it. The higher the number, the farther it is from the elevators/lobby. Odd numbers face the marina, even numbers face the "garden." The staff is friendly, but as with everything on the island; there are two speeds: dead slow and dead. Our shower was missing a door, the drain worked; slowly. The amenities are adequate, the room is comfortable, the beds allow for good sleep. There was a shortage of towels.

If you travel with children, they cannot access the pool on the fifth floor, but can use the other ones. The pool bars work on a strange schedule, sometimes they closed early.

Beach towels are issued with towel cards; lose the card/towel, you will get charged $25. The food & drink is expensive. The food is good; we tried the Tides for breakfast and dinner, no complaints. The Sushi bar was good, and the Hemingway in the casino was good too.

There is a resort fee of $25/day/room. Not all the restaurants were operating. Luna beach has shuttles, which was a nice place to enjoy the beach.

Many good places to eat on the island, but they close early. My 3 Daughters, Captain Bob's are good for breakfast. Stuart's Conch Stand; best conch salad. Drinking age is 18.

Be patient, and have plenty of money.

I would have to give it some thought to come back.

Room Tip: The higher the room number, the longer it takes to get to the lobby.

Facility is very well maintained and that was great!
Pros...very clean, plenty of areas to get sun and enjoy the pools and beach, moderately priced, very safe, concierge was very helpful, front desk staff was helpful.
Cons...checking in was over 2 hours later than it was suppose to be, safe didn’t work and security was unable to fix it.

What do you get when you combine the classy look of Hilton with the service of a Motel 6? You get the Hilton Bimini. I don’t usually write reviews but I wanted to keep people from having their expectations raised too high only to be disappointed by a staff that really doesn’t give a darn. I’m a Hilton Gold member and I’ve stayed at hundreds of Hilton brand hotels. But the service at this one is hands-down the worst.

Here’s the list of disappointments:
1. Had to wait until 5pm the first day to check in because our room wasn’t ready. Apparently that’s very normal at this Hilton (but almost unheard of at any other Hilton I’ve stayed).
2. I asked for an extra pillow the first night. It never came.
3. I asked for that same extra pillow on the second night. They said they’d bring it up to me. It never came. The ready-to-displease receptionist downstairs said later that the staff doesn’t deliver after 11pm. For $300+ per night, you’d expect more than a “sorry, you’re screwed.”
4. We weren’t given maid service on our first whole day there. A worker told us, “you have to request it.” Huh?
5. Some of the hotel clientele is hard to handle. This Hilton attracts a lot of women in g-strings whose boyfriends like to play their loud profane music at the pool. My young kids got to see things they can’t unsee and hear things they can’t unhear.
6. The room AC could not be changed. It was set on 67 the whole time. Could not be changed.
7. After 6pm, there were no clean towels available at the pool. I asked the receptionist at the front desk about getting some fresh towels. Never happened. So we drip dried instead. I later found out that no one refreshes the towels after 6pm.
8. Most of the staff is either just unfriendly or overworked. I’m sure they are good local people just trying to make a living. But they are clearly not happy to be there.

There are some exceptions. Margaret at the pool was sweet and helpful. Dudley at the concierge was very willing to help. And Donald at room service was really great.

I don’t blame a low-wage hotel staff for this hotel’s problems. This hotel clearly has staff problems and Hilton needs to change it in order to salvage their brand. My experience here is enough to drive me to Marriott.

This was our first time flying from Sheltair /FLL on a sea plane and after a smooth 23 minute flight we landed on the blue waters of the Bahamas. We started our mini four day vacation after a quick check-in at Bahamian Customs, the Hilton shuttle driven by Dario, quickly took us to the resort in less than ten minutes.

We checked in at 11:40 and Bernique at the desk took care of us. Of course our room wasn’t ready so O’Neal, the bellman, did take our baggage and we went to Hemingway’s for a quick lunch, less than an hour later she called us and our two rooms was ready!!! Pays to be Diamond members!!!

Rooms were modern, nice, clean, comfy and everything was accounted for. Awesome view of the Lagoon side where we can see the long Pool and the super yachts and the catamarans!!!
This is the side where the sun rises.
We spent time in the long Pool after we got our rooms on Thursday. There are three pools on the property and we spent time in all three. The pool towels are a story. Make sure you have a towel card to get a new towel and to exchange for a clean towel. And if you lose the card there is a $25.00 charge. We didn’t get a towel card from the front desk at first.
The three restaurants are awesome!!!
Tides was great...great food and wine and great service by Levan!!!
Sushi Bar was also great... fresh seafood sushi, great noodles and rice and soup!!!
Luna Beach Restaurant which is down the road and part of the Hilton Resort was really good. With the sunset and on the beach it can’t be beat. Fresh whole snapper was a must try!!!
We did a different dinner every night. Get there early, we didn’t book reservations and got in right away. When we where done, there was a line waiting at Sushi Bar and at Tides. I would guess that all guests would stay in after spending the day out on the beach or fishing. There are no other outside restaurants to dine at.
The beach called Luna Beach was beautiful all around. White powdery sand was soft and delightful between the toes. The water was crystal clean and clear and warm. A short Hilton shuttle ride is a few minute wait.
Must do is rent a golf cart for the day!!! 24 hour rental from Elite Golf cart rentals which is outside next to the casino entrance and near the dock. 120.00 for a six seater, 100.00 for a 4 seater. Full tank of gas when you go...Plenty of gas and time to explore the whole island. Check out Joe’s Conch Shack!!! See other review... Make sure you lock it up when you park anywhere... all the keys are universal and it fits into each other. We heard other vacationers had their carts stolen by other renters. Drive on the left side of the road was a bit confusing especially when a few cocktails was in the system.

We only encountered everything positive about this island. We’ve been to Atlantis and Baha Mar twice this year and we enjoyed and liked the smallness of this island. This is our first time at this island and we will be back.

The only negative thing about this was the large island flies that hover over your dinner. Even with the lit Sternos they use as a deterrent, it’s not effective 100%.

Be aware of the Miami ferry folks that take the ferry and spend a day at Luna Beach. It can be crowded.
Awesome time!!!
We love it here!!!
Enjoy!!!☀️☀️☀️

Just returned from a great stay at Hilton World Resort Bimini over Fathers Day wknd. We booked the Bahamas Air special of Fly and Stay Free. We did a total of 4nights and only had to pay the daily $25 resort fee. The hotel is a very new and the north end of the island is bring transformed into a luxury getaway. The rooms are clean and everything is new. I read lots of negative reviews and saw none of the issues those people had. But if you do come over on the ferry on Friday expect a long check in. 100 people arriving at the same time is not an easy process. Maybe go to the pool or casino for an hour, have lunch and come back when the line isn't as long. The island itself is easy to get around. Book a golf cart on line and have fun motoring around. If you have kids they will really enjoy this. Make sure you take a snorkel boat to the Sapona. I was on a boat from Bimini Undersea with my wife and our 2 girls ages 8 and 12. There was one other family with 2 girls younger then mine. Everyone was able to get in the water and enjoy this trip. While driving in your golf cart stop and eat at the local Conch shacks. Joes has the best lobster salad and Stewart's is known for his Conch. They are basically served civeche style. Not New England style on a bun. And order a couple bottles of Stewart's knock out rum punch. Eat pizza at Ediths, and buy a loaf of bread from Charlie's. the bimini bread on the whole island is outstanding. We did eat at the hotel for two dinners, one in the casino, hanburgers and beers, and the Asian restuarant in the main lobby. All served good food and in a timely fashion. Spent enough time between the hotels beach bar and the swim up bar in the pool. Nothing but good things to say. A shout out to a few people I saw daily. Always a smile from Ricardo at Luna Beach and Deviny in the main hotel. The guys at the pool bar Kurt and his partner were always friendly.
Ok so my only negative is the towel issue. I understand there are boats pulling up daily, people from other resorts coming to the hotel/casino. But if I have a WRB arm band just give me a towel. Nobody is out there before 10am or after 6pm. This makes exchanging towels difficult and your coworkers are forced to have to look through paperwork to get my towel keys back, and generally puts both sides in a bad mood. People without arm bands get nothing. Hope this helps people who are thinking of going. Get out of the hotel and explore the island and you'll have a great time.
