So quaint. So cute. So comfortable and relaxing. Had our own little deck with adirondack chairs. The owners were down to earth and let us check in bright and early. Wish we could have stayed another night. So very worth it!

Bring Off! Mosquitoes love me. If your prone to insect bites then beware.

Don't forget to Check out the bar and restaurant. We bought a bottle of wine for dinner. Only had half glass but brought the bottle back to our little deck and enjoyed the sunset.

It was pizza night when we were there and many people flock here for the wood fired pizza. I live in NY so nothing can compare to our pizza. But I do give them an E for effort. It didn't go to waste.

We just completed a 2 week trip to Eleuthera. It was our 7th trip to Eleuthera and the 6th time that we have stayed at the Rainbow Inn. I think that sums up how we feel about The Rainbow Inn. The owners are very gracious and accommodating. We rented the house, The Caribbean Jewel. It is very comfortable and the location is convenient for those who want to explore the island. The house has a kitchen for those who want to cook. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms as well as a spacious living area. We enjoyed the screened porch in the evenings. There are housekeepers who come and clean during the stay. Rhonda, Richard, Zev, Mish and Airilie helped us to have a wonderful vacation. They are fun to visit with and knowledgable about the island. They always treat us like family. We highly recommend staying at the Rainbow Inn. Already looking forward to the next time.

The Rainbow Inn is a great place to go! We spent almost 2 weeks on Eleuthera, checked out most of the restaurants which were recommended by tripadvisor. Having dinner here is really a must. We sat outside on the porch, had fantasic cocktails while watching a beautiful sunset. The people there are very nice! We had the "Surf'n Turf" platter for 2. The steak was perfect, the lobster (made in a light parmesan crust) and the catch of the day (grouper) was so fresh and good, that we had to come back a second time.
Eleuthera is in total a more expensive place, especially if you want to dine out nice and enjoy food. Considdering that, the $80 for the "Surf'n Turf" was not over priced - it was fantasic!

We went for both lunch and pizza night. Prices are very reasonable. Lunch was good, but stick with Bahamian food. Neither my sister nor I could eat the cheeseburger. Pizza night is fun. A band adds to the festivities. It gets a good crowd so make a reservation. We were seated outside. Seemed inside seats were all taken by locals so specify when you make your reservation that you do not want to be seated in the parking lot. We insisted they make a space for us. The pizza is baked in a brick oven and it is the best we had on the island. We also learned that if you pay for your drinks at the bar, you will not have to pay the value added tax. This is one of the few places that takes credit cards.

First, the better bits: decor (multi-colored Caribbean) attractive, servers diligent, informed and efficient, kitchen willing to make variations on request. Rainbow Inn has a nice menu; short enough that the kitchen can serve promptly, varied enough that different tastes can be accomodated. The food is well prepared and tasty. We are going back tonight for a 4th visit, so it is clear that we like it.

Monday pizza nights serve some of the best pizzas I've ever had. Crust is perfect in my view; not cracker thin, not thick and soggy. It has a very good yeasty taste, and the price for a two-person pizza ($15 - $28) is reasonable based on local menu figures.

Less wonderful: prices, especially wine. These are not out of line with the rest of the island, but they seem high for anywhere other than big city US. Wines seem to run 3 to 4 times local retail. We think that's excessive. Also, the music on music nights is very loud; no conversation possible at our 4-top!

Do try, but be aware of downsides.
