“Truly an Adventure!”
Reviewed 1 July 2011

While in the Exumas my wife and i called Robert's Island Adventures and they were able to accommodate us in setting up a tour on short notice. They had a SUV pick us and another couple up that morning at the George Town docks and after a short drive we were on the boat!

Our tour boat had a total of 10 people (including us), plus Captain Greg and First Mate Craig (aka Plummy). Both Greg and Craig were absolutely great, especially in respect to the quality of their tour, their friendliness, knowledge of the animals and the islands, and their overall laid back demeanor.

Our tour took us to a really cool remote sand bar, a tour of the various cayes/islands owned by celebrities, "Thunderball " grotto, an island with iguanas, a swim with nurse sharks and rays, and our favorite part... the swimming PIGS! We were gone from about 8:30am until 4:30pm, with a lunch break in there. For lunch they brought different sandwich meats, pasta salad, Bahamian tuna salad, and chips/cookies/etc. Not to mention along the way we would stop and have snacks of cheese and crackers with Goomay Smash (alcoholic) as well as water/soda/juice.

The cost was $175 per person and we feel we fully got our moneys worth on this adventure! We definitely recommend going with Robert's Island Adventures if you are staying on Great Exuma or Stocking Island! Give our regards to Captain Greg and Craig :o)

“Great day out!”
Reviewed 27 June 2011

What a fantastic way to see the cays of Exuma. Captain Greg was great fun; he was full of very interesting facts about the islands, along with heaps of warmth & good humour. It was a very chilled day, yet we fitted so much into our trip. We visited the swimming pigs, swam with the sharks, saw the iguanas, the sandbar and the thunderball grotto; all followed by a very tasty lunch on the beach. Our two small children were also made very welcome (something not all the tours were keen on) and they had a fantastic time.

This really is a great way to spend the day. It is chilled, lots of fun, and everyone is free to participate as much or as little as they want. It is also fantastic value.

“Great way to spend a day”
Reviewed 11 June 2011

We booked the excursion directly with the provider and their arrangements were organized and well put together. A cab picked us up at our hotel promptly and we were taken to a small boat that toured us through the Exuma Cays, pointing out interesting highlights along the way.

Bring lots of sunscreen, a hat and some light covering clothes as there is a lot of sun exposure. The boat has little to no shade. It also moves at a fair clip, so be aware if you get sea sick easily.

The only issue we had was some idiots from another tour ruined the "Swimming Pigs" experience by bringing their boat right to shore and feeding the pigs practically at their beach... if we wanted to see pigs eat near water, we could go to our local farm with a bucket. *rolls eyes* Some tour operators are morons.

Robert's Island Adventure is great though, highly recommended.

“Salvaged and made up for the rest of our mediocre trip!”
Reviewed 11 June 2011

We just got back from a trip with Greg as our captain. It was great. He pointed out multiple celebrity islands / homes of Tim & Faith, David Copperfield, Jessica Tandy, the Johnson & Johnson brothers, ... We visited an island where iguanas are being researched, visited the swimming pigs, made a stop at a marina to grab a drink and snorkel with nurse sharks, visited a swim-through grotto, and then did a drift snorkel over a blue hole on the way back in.

“Great day trip”
Reviewed 3 June 2011

We received a recommendation from one of Robert's competitors when their boat was having some problems and I was glad we did. We did the all day thunderball grotto tour and really enjoyed it. Greg gave us a good tour of a number of celebrities island homes, stopped at a sand bar in the middle of the ocean, saw iguanas and swimming pigs, stopped for lunch on a secluded beach and got to snorkel at thurderball grotto. I thought the grotto was the highlight of the trip. I have never seen anything like it and was glad we got to spend some time there. This was a great day trip and would recommend Robert's Island Adventures to everyone not only for the great service but also for a very reasonable price. Thanks Robert, Greg and Phillip.
