Brian, you're a star and we can't wait to come back and see you.

My daughter and I stayed in 'The Snug', which was charming, with a young baby and an enormous Great Dane! So many places claim to make you welcome, and to accommodate dogs, but with the biggest dog in the world, it has always been difficult to find the perfect accommodation.
We had plenty of space, great facilites (including fridge, kettle, cooker, microwave and a decent sized dining table too!)
The lovely garden was perfect for us to enjoy and safe for the dog to wander, with no fear of cars . Although the cows over the road were fascinated by him, they soon got used to him.

The Granary was easy to find, very close to the M4 but in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

Breakfasts were yummy, and our lovely host not only cooked it, but even held the baby so that we could eat our food while it was hot.

I can't recommend The Granary highly enough. I've been in the hospitality industry all my life and tend to be quite picky. This extraordinary B&B is friendly, well run, exceptionally good value and an excellent base for anyone exploring beautiful South Wales.

Room Tip: Book early - believe the website, it's one of the very few that are honest! It's not The Ri...

We stayed at the Granary for eight days and Brian was very helpful and gave excellent advice on local sites. We stayed in the "Den" and found it very comfortable. Breakfast was great and cooked to our orders. The Granary is located in a beautiful and quiet setting. Loved our stay!

When we saw the pictures on the website, we decided to book it right away. And the actual environment is exactly what we expected - lots of trees and the room has got bags of features! The host Brian was very friendly and cooked us good hot breakfast every morning. The cottage is located in a very quiet setting yet convenient enough if you want to drive to a supermarket or go somewhere for any tourist activities. Highly recommended, and we'll certainly go back there again.

Room Tip: The Snug is good for self-catering and lots of space for family or couples, but be careful with the...

A great place! Our host Brian was very friendly, made us an excellent breakfast and quickly posted back to us a pair of trousers that my wife accidentally left behind with no fuss.
(We stayed in a B&B room as the self-catering rooms were fully booked - so book early!)

We stayed here in March for 2 days with our dog whilst visiting friends in Cardiff. We were made to feel most welcome by our hosts Brian and Debra. We stayed in the loft section of the property and had tv and tea / coffee facilities, and plenty of space.
Breakfast was cooked by Brian and was excellent, as was the conversation.
The B&B is in a fairly remote location, but is not too far from the M4, with lovely walks in the area.

Our family loved this charming B&B. Tucked away in the hills above Caerleon, only a short distance from the M4, it felt as if we were miles from anywhere. Our interconnecting rooms in the eaves of this converted barn were perfect and my family of 5 (3 teenage children) slept more than comfortably. We also booked self contained flatlets - the Snug and Den for our two grown up children and their families (yes, we're a big family). The little kitchen, eating area and sitting rooms were perfect for their young children. Brian and his daughter made us feel very welcome -the cup of tea when we arrived after a long journey was much appreciated and the enormous breakfast, served in the comfy farmhouse kitchen, with Millie the dog appearing for a pat, was splendid. I'd strongly recommend The Granary if you want rural charm and a relaxed family atmostphere

Room Tip: If you want to self - cater, go for the Snug or the Den. Both have microwaves and mini ovens/grills...
