Yes, you are indeed apart of the family here, and drinks were alittle pricy but the couple who run this place are warm and very helpful. It was our honeymoon and we stayed all over Spain this place (while not in a big city ect) is always one of the first we think of, we'd love to comeback one day :)

We stayed for 2 nights at casa migdia at the end of a weeks trip to Barcelona, and found it a wonderful place to relax after the hustle and bustle of the city. Marie and Sebastian were great hosts, and made us feel totally at home. Breakfast and dinner were good and inventive - it was lovely to have some fresh and healthy meals prepared with vegetables picked from their own garden, and there was also a great wine list. Marie and Sebastian were extremely happy to make recommendations for places to visit, such as the great beaches nearby - something we didn't expect to be doing in October! And were also very accommodating letting us stay an additional 3 hours on our final day when the power went out and we couldn't take a shower before setting off for the airport!
We came to casa migdia having booked to visit nearby El Cellar de Can Roca in Girona on the last night of our trip however the place totally exceeded our expectations - a beautifully restored house, wonderful decor, gorgeous countryside - we can't wait to go back!

We are just back from Europe and we were lucky enough to spend two nights at Casa Migdia, I wish we could have stayed longer. The building has be beautifully renovated with incredible stylish touches that create a warm and artistic atmosphere. If you stay make sure you have dinner as it is excellent and very relaxing after a day of touring around.

Marie and Sebastian have made a wonderful job of restoring this old stone house. Their attention to detail, use of period features with colourful furnishings has created the most delightful atmosphere. They are both excellent cooks and the smell of good homemade food adds to the charm. We were in two interconnecting double rooms for ourselves and our two girls 14 and 16. This is their family home where they live with their young children.

The rooms are all in their original layout, a good size, with original tiled floors in many of the bedrooms. Each has a large luxurious bathroom; lovely old cast iron baths, large basins and large showers, some tiled with locally handmade clay tiles while some are finished with a Moroccan style plaster.

A small outside courtyard with a pool is the setting for breakfast and evening meals.

Marie and Sebastian know all the good local restaurants and the good beaches. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for families and couples looking for a lovely old place to stay. We would certainly go back again.

Room Tip: All the rooms are really nice.

Casa Migdia is a nice and charming restored house with 5 bedrooms. Each room has its own personality, and all are very spacious and comfortable with excellent decor.
The location is perfect for walking or cycling, and have many places for sightseeing in 30 minutes by car: Girona, Figueres, the Costa Brava, charming villages like Púbol and Peratallada , etc..
The owners were very friendly and gave us all the help we needed.

We will be back for sure.

The building has a funky charm, and the owners were nice, but very busy with their young family. No one offered us any information about the schedule of meals, layout of the town, things to do in the area- and we felt intrustive bothering them with questions. Food was abundant, fresh and local. Breakfast was in the Catalan style, and dinner was inventive and quite good.

While Casa Migda is a unique place to stay on the way to (or as a base to) explore the coast, and the beautiful medieval towns and castles near by, don't make the trip for Casa Migda alone.

Yes, Casa Midgia is,indeed, stylishly set in a very nicely restored family home. The decor is a classy shabby-chick. The owner, who apparently had a restaurant in Paris, cooks delicious dinners - his prices, also those for drinks from the bar, also appear to come from Paris. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, in rather run-down and desolate little village, which does not offer much apart from a few narrow stone alleys and a bar/club across the street, playing very load music into the morning. The hotel itself is also surprisingly load, with the activities before, during and after dinner echoing up the stairs. The rooms are equipped with stylish, but very thin wooden doors that offer no soundproofing what so all. The hotel is run together with the family home, which often leaves one feeling like an intruder in the family life.
