Twenty six of us stayed at River View for 3 nights from the 23rd October. The owner Robert made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. He was exceptionally kind and welcoming and we had a fantastic time.

The house was spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were spacious, the bed linen and towels all appeared completely new and unused. Even the little details were taken care of such as a hairdryer and TV in every bedroom.

As we were a large group, Robert shut the Restaurant to the public and we could either use it and have it for our own private use or cater for ourselves. We went for one night of the Restaurant and cater for ourselves the rest of the time. Had we known how amazing the Thai Restaurant was we would have booked it for every night. I cannot put into words the standard of the cooking, it was by far the best Thai food I've ever tasted! There was so much food (even though we had seconds and thirds), that the chef put the leftovers into containers for us to reheat the next day.

The large communal room was plenty big enough for 26 people. The restaurant dining room comfortably seated 26. And the kitchen, which we used for big fry ups, was great as everything was industrial for the restaurant so the oven was massive, the dishwasher only took 5 minutes per wash and there were 3 fridges and 3 freezers.

I am sure Robert and his team are going to do really well with this property and Restaurant - I would 100% recommend it.

This place is brilliant. A group of friends and I stayed here in September 2015, and we were all really impressed with the quality of both the accommodation, the facilities and the owner/staff (not to mention the food which was exemplary).

The owner Robert is one of the most genuine, welcoming and helpful people I've ever met in this context. He went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable, well fed and had everything we needed to make our stay both memorable and comfortable.

Whether you use River View as a base of operations for a week/weekend or excursions, or you're planning on a relaxing stay indoors, I can't recommend this place highly enough. I'd also recommend that - where possible - you take Robert up on his offer of food on-site. We went for the Thai option and it was excellent!

Convenient for both local amenities and for travel links alike, River View is real gem of a place, and for the price it is an absolutely steal for a large group! Robert is a true gent, and he'll be a big part of the reason you will rebook if you ever find yourself back in the area.

Stayed here for the weekend on 18/09 with a large group of us (14) for my Stag Do.

Firstly, the other reviews have all made reference to the helpfulness of the owner/manager Robert and I'd have to whole heartedly agree with this. He's just a really friendly, genuine and welcoming man and couldnt have been nicer to us! He was on hand for our arrival and to make sure everything was ok on day 1 before leaving us to it!

The premises themselves are great, really big and spacious with lots of different bathrooms and bedrooms. Even though there are some bunkbeds, the mattresses are obviously quite new and its all very comfortable,

I'd ignore the fact that there's little photo's on their site (or the quality of the photo's on their youtube video if you find that!!!!). It's actually very nice inside and they just need to get a bit more savvy with their online marketing! We were certainly a bit worried before we arrived about what the house would be like, but happy to report that all of these were unfounded!

We opted for the Thai Meal also which was divine! Really good quality food after a long day drinking and they even bagged leftovers for us and left them in the fridge!

We actually spent saturday in Cardiff for the rugby but I'm happy to state that the travel links are also really easy from the house. Neath is 10 mins away and is on the main trainline between Cardiff and Swansea - taxi's there are about £10 and there's a taxi rank just outside the station which made everything very easy!

All in all, it was a fantastic stay and would definitely book the house again. It's just such a convenient location with every facility you'd need to house a group of any size!

We hired river view as accommodation for a stag do. The property has recently been refurbished and was perfect for our purposes as it was large, comfortable, spacious and well located outside neath, not too far from Swansea.
The owner Robert could not have been more helpful in organising the weekend. We took him up on his suggestion of getting Thai catering and for many it was the highlight of the weekend. The food was fantastic quality and value. The Thai chefs even prepared a special dish for the stag...
To summarise, the property is in great condition, has great facilities and is managed by someone who really knows what he's doing. Would recommend to anybody organising a weekend away for a large group and would certainly book again.

Stayed at River View for 2 days in August 2015. House was in great condition and all amenities were provided including a large kitchen. We had full use of the bar and restaurant area which was great. The communal room was very large and accommodated our size group perfectly (18 of us). Bedrooms were up to date and beds very comfortable. The owner Robert was fantastic throughout and couldn't have done anymore to make our stay better. The house is very close to travel links and is only a short drive away from Swansea City centre. Also has a very big garden with decking and seating area which was perfect on our first day as the weather was brilliant. Would recommend this house to anyone, and is perfect for large groups having a get together. Will definitely think about staying again next year.
