Owner description: A trip to the most scenic waterfall in Wales includes a tour of the turbine house and the fish pass; the falls are best known for their electricity-producing waterwheel, the largest of its kind in Britain.

A stunning waterfall and interesting industrial heritage site, this is particularly well designed for children. The child's pack given on entry includes a brass rubbing kit to use on various images around the site and smell boxes to bring the past to life. There's also an archeological dig to do, although there could be more artefacts in the sand to find.

The cafe and gift shop were pleasant too. The only minor annoyance was the fact it shuts at 4 - it was a nice sunny afternoon and we would have liked to stay longer!

Found this by accident and from the road you wouldn't have guessed what was behind the wall.
Once inside we were amazed. this disused tin mine, has a giant water wheel and a fantastic view of the waterfall from every level.
It is also well equipped for the disabled with lifts up to the top of the falls.
Finished off with a lovely bowl of soup at the tea shop.

Interesting. I felt there was a lot of repetition of artefacts and information. The professional film was good. The scenery is dramatic. Good reception area and lovely tea room.

Hi Jayne,

We are glad you enjoyed the film, beautiful scenery and tea room during your visit. We apologise that you felt there was a repetition in the artefacts displayed, our collection is largely composed of archaeological iron. Thank you for your kind review of our site.
