We used this as a base to visit nearby family in Swansea. We paid £19 for 2 rooms for 2 nights, and then a further £29 for a third night. If we had paid much more than this then I am not sure that the rooms would have justified a higher price tag.

My room was a twin, which consisted of a double and a sofa converted into a single. The room was large, although Premier Inns seem to have a problem with adequate lighting! The heating system worked well, and the room generally had all the facilities you would expect.

We did not try breakfast or the meal deal with the pub over the road, but it seemed to be decent quality from what we saw.

The hotel is in the perfect location just off the motorway and is great for anyone who needs a place to rest after a long journey. It was perfect for our needs in that respect.

My main gripe was that the hotel is looking dated now. The ceiling was showing a small patch of damp, there were a few marks on the bed sheets/pillows, and the single bed squeaked whenever you got into it or moved.

For the price of £19 a night, it does what it needs to. The reception staff were superb (the level you'd expect from Premier Inn) and they sorted out a noisy neighbour straight away. If people are looking for a budget place to stay that is warm, comfortable, but not total luxury, then I would fully recommend this Premier Inn.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor as some of the ground floor rooms face the car park and pub!

I booked the Premier Inn because I use them a lot for business and I find the Hypnos beds very comfortable. Booked a family room (which was great value) as we were visiting family for Christmas. Room was good and enough space, but not the same quality of beds.

Staff were very helpful and very friendly, can't fault them.

Booked a last minute overnight stay, all I can say that it was a very pleasant night. Very comfortable beds and quiet too. The Beefeater was very busy, but we got served quickly. The staff in both the Hotel and restaurant were all very nice.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Stayed over the Saturday night and ate at the adjacent Beefeater Bagle Brook. Check in was fine, but having booked on line, it turns out that either we or the Premier Inn system had reserved two rooms in our name. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and cancelled the other booking for us without any costs being incurred.

The whole hotel appears on the whole to be fine, clean and generally quiet. Good sized rooms (plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teen boys), but are definitely in need of a refurbishment. Some of the fixtures and fittings are very tired, particularly in the bathrooms. Noisy extract fan from the ensuite bathroom which fortunately was on a timer so went off after a few minutes, but was very audible from the bedroom.

We only chose this particular Premier Inn as the others we normally stay in, either further west or further east along the M4 where too expensive the night we needed to stay (I put this down to profiteering on the international rugby match in Cardiff that day). It is unlikely we would stay again, but it is an ok hotel to have as a back up.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights during September 2012, whilst working in Port Talbot staff very helpful and pleasant, if staying here pay for the meal deal which gives you a three course evening meal + a drink (pint of bitter in my case) and full english breakfast of which both were excellent value.
Had no problems with any noise whatsoever, well done to the staff and hotel.
Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: My room was on the ground floor at the front of hotel but no problems.

Considering it was a late booking (as in we arrived within 20minutes of booking the room) the check-in process was quick and pain free. The service was very good and we were offered more tea and coffee (which is always a good thing) The meal and the breakfast in the adjoining Beefeater was excellent and always had top class service. Great staff and completed a perfect weekend away with the fiancee.
