this was our 4th trip to croft farm! that in its self says a lot. this time due to our family being bigger we had little choice of accommodation and we went for the barn. it was clean and the only item we lacked was a clothes airer( which came within 5 mins of being asked for!).
this wasn't quite as 'new' as some of the other properties but in its self was ok. our problem is we have now stayed in four different properties here and this wasn't the best but i am very aware not many families have 5 children and so it wont get the use of the cottages for 4/5 people.
croft farm as a place has excellent facilities, is clean, stunning gardens and plenty to-do both at the cottages and in the local area. the only reason i only gave it a four was for our last stay the cottage wasn't quite as good as the others we lacked a simple baking tray and the kitchen was very small considering the cottage is for 8 people - a fresh mattress wouldn't do any harm in the on-suite bedroom either! all of which don't count if your family is smaller than ours as all the other 3 cottages we have stayed in have been perfect! (the cartwheel, the dairy and the farmhouse!)

This is a cracking little holiday complex in a great location. The kids loved the indoor pool and as there are a small number of cottages, it was never overcrowded. Every morning the kids were able to feed the farm animals with Andy and they could go and see the animals whenever they wished. There is a large play barn ,soft play area and a small but well equipped gym next to the pool. The cottages are very good quality, ours was finished to a very high standard and very clean. Lots of little touches which just make your stay that bit special. The area is beautiful, lovely beaches and locals are very friendly and Cardigan is a lovely little place to visit, not too busy. Not cheap holiday but worth every penny. Can't wait to go back next year!

Room Tip: We stayed in The Barn, it was a great cottage ;)

For our family this holiday destination is a truly superb find. I almost don't want to tell anyone for fear it will be constantly booked up! The surrounding area is one of natural beauty, plenty of places to go, lovely sandy beaches and magical coves. Cardigan town centre offers a quaint truly Welsh town with quality local butchers, bakers and gift shops and of course the beautiful Tenby is not too far away with its lovely harbour, shops and the legendary Fecci's ice-cream parlour. You can also find plenty of places to eat from cosy pubs and cafes to more modern coffee houses and eateries. Nearby are family parks and wonderful wildlife centres and nature reserves. Croft farm and Celtic cottages provides families with the chance to take part in the daily activities around the farm. Children can take part in supervised feeding and handling of guinea pigs and rabbits and the feeding of chickens, goats, donkeys and pigs. The children and adults love it, and families can bring back freshly laid eggs for their breakfast. There are play barns fully equipped with Wendy houses, play shops and table tennis and floor games that are a Godsend on a rainy day. There is a lovely beautifully clean swimming pool with Sauna and gymnasium. As for the accommodation, the cottages couldn't be nicer, they are pretty, cosy and nicely laid out and decorated, some have their own wood burning stoves, all have a lovely area to sit outside if desired. Everything is thought of to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay. There is even a service provided by a superb chef who will bake bread, cakes and cook a lovely selection of meals and deliver them to your door. We had bread delivered every other day and it was the nicest we've tasted, fabulous flavour and warm on delivery. The menu is quite extensive and makes the holiday a bit more special. The staff are very friendly and eager to please, always ready to help and advise on making your stay an experience to remember. This is one of the best breaks our family have had and we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: All rooms sleep varying amount of people but if travelling in Autumn or Winter some have log burning...

Croft Farm is the most perfect venue for families with young children. We stayed in The Hayloft. There's such attention to detail.... The cottages are very comfortable, cleaned to perfection and extremely well equipped... even down to kitchen scales, a rolling pin and cake tray to bake cakes with on a rainy day. Digital TV, ipod dock, cd player and free wi fi, not to mention a decent hair dryer, were all available. There's so much to do for the children. We started our day with a relaxing & fun swimming lesson with Ian from Swimming Without Stress, who run courses there at various times of the year. The children fed the various animals and collected eggs then ran around playing on the outdoor play area & trampoline. We made use of all the facilities, including the gym and pool table, and made frequent visits to the pool. In fact, our children have never been so happy and relaxed on a family holiday, not really wanting to venture out far as everything they needed was on site, and so making it the most relaxing experience possible for us. Charmaine and the staff were completely welcoming, friendly and warm - nothing was too much trouble for any of them. We will definitely return soon....our children will make sure of that. Thank you Andrew & Sylvie for creating the most perfect environment for family holidays.

Room Tip: Our children loved the adventure of climbing the slate steps up to The Hayloft.

This was the perfect place to go for a family holiday with young kids. The cottage (we stayed in the Barn) was cosy and warm on a very cold March week. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything we could need. The porch was ideal for keeping muddy boots and kids bikes. There was a log burning stove with plenty of wood, although we didn't need to use it as it was warm enough with the heating on. Feeding the animals each morning was fantastic - our 3 year old was delighted to have his own bucket and made good friends with all the animals. We loved collecting freshly laid eggs for our breakfast which we ate with fresh (still warm) bread delivered by Patrick in the morning.
For rainy days, there was a fun children's play barn and petting area with rabbits and guinea pigs. The pool was lovely - clean and warm - as was the sauna. For older kids and adults there is a games room and small gym.
The location is ideal for exploring Pembrokeshire's beautiful beaches. There are loads of places to visit, from wildlife sanctuaries to children's farm parks. There would have been enough to keep us entertained for weeks.
I was unsure about coming on a self-catering holiday as I didn't want to spend the whole week cooking. However, what with Patrick's tasty food which he will deliver daily (bread/breakfast things in the morning and meals and puds in the evening), the nearby Llwynhelyg Farm Shop and great local pubs, I needn't have worried.
We had a fantastic holiday both on the sunny and rainy days and we can't wait to come back and visit again. Thanks Andrew and colleagues for your hospitality.

11 of us spent a family Easter 2013 weekend in the largest cottage, Croft, with ages from 9 month old twins, kids of 5-8 yo, parents and grandparents. Those of us that could speak all loved the place. The cottage itself was excellent with spacious, clean bedrooms with plenty of bathrooms, and spacious communal/dining areas and a v well appointed kitchen. The location in Pembs speaks for itself but the beaches and scenery and fresh air were great. TVs aplenty but we barely turned them on. We also played some golf, went out to dinner, had home delivered bakeries (v good) and kids loved the 930am feeding of amazing amount of animals, the indoor/outdoor playgrounds and insisted on an evening swim each night. We will come back for a longer stay in due course i hope. If you are worried abt how close to 'main road' the Croft cottage is that we thought about pre-trip, its a non event, cant really hear it all and its pretty quiet. Thanks to all staff.

This is a very relaxing, beautifully designed farm stay. The facilities are perfect, the owners and staff are extremely helpful and informative and we loved every minute. As parents of a two year old we felt everything was catered for and would book again. A really good family holiday with masses to do whatever the weather!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Dairy which was perfect.
