Unique, fabulous bay location totally ruined by overcrowding with caravans little more than one van's width apart and sometimes with decks almost touching. Also too many bullet-headed kids around drinking juice from pint glasses and biking up and down the access paths plus endless gaudy 4x4s, tractors, plastic boats and trailers cluttering up the beach front. This used to be a select spot for a relaxing week away in perfect circumstance but now it's a classic example of how to ruin a resort with greed. I think I am being kind with 3 stars. Avoid, the rest of Pembrokeshire is lovely.

Room Tip: A unit as far away from the sea (Lydstep) as possible will give the most relaxation.

We stayed on March 21st for 3 nights to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. The caravan was very homely and clean to a high standard. It was so good to wake up to the view of the sea.The beach was a short distance away and play area for our grandson. We will be back again soon. Thank you.

Stayed at 857 Ocean View in September for a long weekend. Lovely caravan, well equiped and lots of personal touches to make it stand out from the rest. Nicola & Niall Bridge (Owners) have made a real effort to ensure the caravan is homely and comfortable. We have visited Lydstep Beach Village a few times, the site is fantastic and in a lovely location. The site offers many amenities but is also perfectly located for visits to Tenby & Saundersfoot in the beautful county of Pembrokeshire.
Highly recomend the site and will be booking for 2014 with Nicola and Niall through their website Lystepcaravanholidays.

We travelled down to Tenby in June 2013, We were extremelly lucky to have boiling hot weather all week.
We paid a very little price for the week, just £179 for the Caravan!
The site really is lovely, very well kept and has Beautiful views of the sea and Caldey Island.
Its a small commute into Tenby town so not ideal if you do not have your car with you.
The beach on site is lovely- A little rocky you must wear shoes but it's a great beach.
The clubhouse was a very nice drinks wernt overpriced and the Menu looked good although we didn't eat there.
Our only issue was family who stayed in another Caravan where not positioned close to us, and the Caravan got invaded by ants! But the Lydstep team did quickly move them into an incredible show caravan, it was unreal it even had a dishwasher, washing machine about 3 bathrooms!

Great place, hope to go back summer 2014

Room Tip: Ask for a Caravan overlooking the beach, amazing views to wake up to in the morning and eat your bre...

We stayed here last weekend, friday to Monday the first weekend of half term. We booked with Haven as we've stayed at some of their other sites before. Booking was simple and stress free.
We booked a mid-range van (deluxe) which stated no heating, just a gas fire in the lounge, so I was a little wary when we set off in the cold and dark! We rang to say that we'd be arriving late due to travelling down after work, and staff were very helpful and friendly.
On arrival, we were swiftly given keys and directed to our van. Again, quick and easy.
The caravan itself was a a lovely surprise. We must have been upgraded. Central heating, modern interior, very spacious (much more impressive that the online photos I'd booked) and in a prime seafront location with amazing views.
The site itself is immaculate. Having stayed at other Haven sites, we found this to be really impressive. It's very well kept and set in a beautiful spot. It wasn't very 'haven-y' as in there weren't haven signs or redcoats but this actually added to the charm and appeal of the place.
The manor house area is lovely with a great bar and entertainment area - not huge but we had no problem getting a table (although it was at the end of the season). Food was good and not too overpriced. The £2.95 breakfast was excellent value.
On the SAturday night a Halloween party had been organised. Lydstep rang us a few days before our break to tell us about this so that we knew to pack costumes for the kids - this was really appreciated. The party was great, a warm and friendly feel, perfect entertainment fo our 5yr old and toddler and free food for the kids, all at no extra charge.
Our daughter enjoyed the planned art activities during the day, and her and my husband said that although the pool was nothing special they had fun in the pool.
There was a visit from a local bird sanctuary too, again free of charge to handle the birds of prey.
We found the entertainment to more than adequate even at the end of the season. Whether there would be enough at the height of the summer for a longer stay, I'm not sure. But we were more than happy during our break.
As others have mentioned, it has a very private feel and is geared towards owners. However as holiday makers we were very much welcomed and found the resort to have a warm and friendly feel. We saw this as a postive rather than a negative. I would love to own a van here!
We will definitely return. We loved the site and its a great base for fabulous Pembrokeshire. We would probably look to hire a van with an owner next time though in hope of finding it more cost effective.

Room Tip: We stayed in van 105 which was lovely and modern and in a great location. I think it was in a sectio...

I stayed here from the 21st to the 28th September with my wife and in laws, including 6 nephews and nieces ranging from 2-14. This was my second static caravan experience and was considerably better than the first. Caravan was clean and comfortable.

There has been a lot of reviews commenting on the entertainment. I think this is due to the time of year. However the entertainment manager did bend of backwards to entertain the children (and big children) that were present from playing hide and seek with two kids to playing a list of party dances provided by my family. I have been told that this park is not as big as some, so do your research as to what it is you want from haven before booking.

The location is amazing! with its private beach and short steep climb up the cliff path the views are amazing. The area particularly around Tenby is amazing and oozing with history.

Great experience.

We have been to many caravan sites in the past but this one trumps them all. Beautiful views, your own private beach, a great clubhouse, it's very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. We now go here around three times a year, a truly fantastic caravan park.
