Arrived without booking on Mothers day! They were able to fit us in a little later and it was well worth the wait. Food was superb - so tasty and plentiful. The staff were kind and friendly.
Can't wait to go again.
PS Gorgeous Fudge!

After a 30 year gap I realised that I should ot have left it so long for a revisit.

This traditional pub is now an award winning restaurant with a fantastic informal and warm feel about it. Guests in walking gear sit alongside guests dressed to the nines quite comfortably and all are welcomed by the friendly and efficient staff.

Now the food - sourced locally, excellent quality and very tasty. Most of the vegetables are sourced from the nearby Stackpole Estate (also worth a visit). I had the lamb which just melted in my mouth but did have a taste of my colleagues Stilton souffle which was amazing.

Make an effort and visit this lovely place. You can also stay here in rooms adjacent to the pub.

We visited the Stackpole on its 'pie night' and weren't disappointed! Good value food and the staff were exceptionally friendly- we even got introduced to the locals! The portions were just right and there was a lovely atmosphere- wooden beams and the real wood fire made all the difference. We'll definitely be visiting again soon!

Visited the Stackpole Inn at the beggining of February.
The friendly and relaxing welcome by the staff, and laid back atmosphere of the restaurant was a breath of fresh air.
The food was excellent, trully well prepared and presented, original and fresh.
The service was 1st class, with a lovely and very friendly waitress that catered for our every request.
The décor was fresh and simple, well put together and modern, making this restaurant a pleasure to eat in. Recommended!! 5*!!
