“Superb in every way”
Reviewed 11 October 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We have now stayed twice at Llys Aber, once with our siblings and then, more recently, with our sons and their families. On both occasions, the accommodation was absolutely wonderful catering for all ages from our baby granddaughter to we more mature grandparents. The house is ideally situated within the village close to the harbour where our granddaughters went "crabbing" and near to good pubs and restaurants. The whole of the house is tastefully decorated throughout and met our every need. This fantastic, warm and welcoming house provided us with a perfect base for both family holidays.

“Fabulous cottage and location”
Reviewed 9 October 2012 for a stay in May 2012

Llys Aber is spacious, beautifully furnished, and well equipped, and provided the perfect base for a family get together of 8. There was more than enough room for us all in in the spacious dining room and lounge, as well as having enough space to retreat for some quiet time - the snug room was particularly handy for this. Bedrooms were very well appointed and the en suite shower rooms were a nice size with good showers.

The garden and patio area were spacious and enjoyed by us all. There is a covered area which would be great in poor weather but we were lucky with the weather during the week we stayed and often had breakfast on the sunny patio.

Solva itself is a real hidden gem. It is pretty and unspoilt and provides enough interest to stay local for a week. There is a gift shop, gallery, restaurants, pubs, and a small post office/general store nearby, and literally around the corner from Llys Aber is the harbour area with footpaths leading off to the coastal trail and a couple of lovely beaches not too far away. We can recommend Cafe 35 on the harbour where we enjoyed the most wonderful fish and chips and a nice bottle of chilled wine one evening.

We would love to stay in Solva again and if going as a large group then Llys Aber would be top of our list for accommodation.

Thank you to Leonie and Greg for being on hand to ensure we had the most comfortable stay - the welcome hamper and logs for the wood burner were a lovely touch.

Thanks for your comments and so pleased you enjoyed your birthday, our house is often used for such events as it means no-one has to drive to either pub, restaurant or beach as they are all on the doorstep.

Solva itself is fun with nice pubs, good food, incomparable scenery and friendly natives. Please dont book it when i return but otherwise just book and enjoy.

Thanks for your review - we put a lot of thought into the house and have made it so that when you arrive it feels like we have just vacated for your week's holiday - a 'special home from home'. We look forward to seeing you again.
