“Simple but tasty fare”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Simple, fish-based fare, very well done. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. The beer left something to be desired (it was warm), but all in all we had a great feed, and it was very good value.

“Good dinner, appalling breakfast.”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

Had two excellent dinners here: battered fish and seafood. The waitress who served us was attentive, cheerful and efficient. We decided to try their breakfast. It was appalling: a) menu stated that breakfast included tea or coffee but I was charged extra for these. When I questioned the bill, the waitress (alas not the same one who served us dinner) looked surly and patronising. I didn't want to spoil my day so I paid the (small) extra sum; b) the fry-up arrived and the sausage was burnt, hard and completely dry. The cheese omelette had hardly any cheese in it. Pity, they could have so easily got it all perfect. But thank you to the lovely waitress who served us dinner - maybe the owners could subsidise your trip to Corfu next summer as the trip this year has clearly put a radiant, welcoming smile on your face.

“Cracking meal”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 via mobile

We visited the 35 cafe on a couple of occasions last week and the food was always plentiful and reasonably priced.

“Delightful food and service”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

This is a little gem tucked away next to the much larger Harbour Inn in Solva Harbour. You are right next to the river and its at the top of the beach and the end of the coastal path so perfect to stop and sample the food and drink. You can sit outside or in and both will give you the same great service. The fish and chips are just awesome - though I had the fish cakes which were really lovely - fresh salad and coleslaw, great chips, mushy peas - what more could you want? Well if you did want more the choice of homemade cakes and ice cream would certainly do. The prices and reasonable and the staff very welcoming. Worth more than one visit!

“A gem tucked away”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

35 is an unassuming cafe restaurant off the beaten track in Solva. It nestles up the corner near the estuary and is well worth a visit if you like Crab. Quite simply the best Crab I have eaten anywhere in the world. It was caught fresh that morning and the staff at the restaurant had had the good sense to prepare it simply, with light overtones of lemon, a tad of seasoning. They never freeze it, it is eaten fresh from the catch.

I ordered the crab sandwich which arrived on soft, fresh to die for, brown farmhouse bread. It was served with a few crisps and a handful of salad. All washed down with an elderflower spritzer.

I can't comment on any of the other food. But Crab lovers beware this is a serious place to enjoy.
