Perfectly Peaceful

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 8 May 2023
A gem of a site! Very friendly and welcoming wardens who obviously take a great deal of pride in their jobs. Spotlessly clean toilets and showers (free, great pressure, piping hot water) plus a washing up/laundry room with a freezer and kettle and charging points for mobiles etc which is really handy if you don't have EHU. Lovely reception where you can get info on things to do in the area and borrow books and board games or even watch tv. The EHU field has really big pitches and the grass is well cut. If your EHU cable is too short you can borrow extensions from reception. There are plenty of drinking water taps available and also a hose by reception to fill up freshwater tanks. There is a chemical toilet disposal point, a place to rinse off wetsuits etc and a very clean and tidy recycling and general waste compound. Dogs are welcome but must be on leads at all times and aren't allowed in the toilet block. There are plenty of beautiful walks from the site including easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. There is a quiet walk through the farm and country lanes to Solva which takes about 20 minutes and is much safer than the main road which is extremely busy and has no pavements. Although there is no shop on site there is a convenience store a few minutes walk away. This site is amazing value for money considering the facilities on offer!

Lovely site a short walk from Solva and the coastal path. Kept really neat and well maintained. The wardens were really helpful and friendly, going way beyond the usual expectations. We saw them repegging tents for people in the gales if they were not there and were always available for support. They were really knowledgeable about the area, suggesting walks and eateries and happy to chat about wildlife and history of the area.
We stayed in a touring caravan though there was a real mixture of tents, camper vans and caravans. Plenty of space between pitches. The facilities were spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely 10 days!

Lovely site with sea views and fantastic costal walks on your doorstep. It’s a very basic site but it ticks all the right boxes. The toilets and showers were cleaned regularly and the pitches were well looked after.
Both Ilona (sorry if I’ve spelt that incorrectly) and Mark were friendly and helpful. They really are what makes this site what it is.

Stunning location, the site is easy to get to and close to local amenities and amazing beaches.
The staff on site were lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
They’ve thought of everything for touring, including maps and laminates with very detailed descriptions of local beaches including things like wether the beach is sandy, cat parking etc. Very useful to photo them.
The site was extremely clean and the toilets and showers were probably the cleanest I’ve seen in my years of camping.
We were only due to stay for 4 days but extended to 9 days, even then we didn’t want to leave.
One of the photos below of the lake is down the track opposite to the park entrance, a lovely dog walk into fields with an amazing view. The beach pictured is Newgale, a small part is restricted to no dogs but you can walk further down and have miles of golden sand.
A must visit if you like swimming is Abereiddy beach, there is a Blue Lagoon which is mind blowing.

Everything about this place is beautiful - staff, facilities and location all 5*.
Solva is a short walk from site and is very picturesque.
Large airfield where dogs can be exercised off lead.
St David’s only a few miles away with dedicated motorhome parking.
Lots to do and see - even sea views too
