“Excellent bed & breakfast”
Reviewed 12 June 2013

I looked at some of the reviews before booking our stay at Einion House and thought if it's half as good as they all say it will be fine.It wasn't fine it was excellent, from the moment we arrived until we left.We were greeted by Alvin who then made us a pot of tea and then carried our case upstairs to our room which was immaculate and had a view over looking the sea.In the morning we were treated to a wonderful full English or should I say Welsh breakfast cooked by David. Both the food and service were very good and my wife and I both enjoyed our two days stay and if we were ever in the area again would not hesitate to stay here again.Perfect hosts.

I booked Einion House as a suprise for my mother because whilst tracing our family tree we had found that her grandparents had run it as a B & B from the late 1930's through to the 1960's. Although I had read all the wonderful reviews on trip advisor I hadn't booked it for the reviews but for the experience of staying in a property with a recently discovered family connection. However, our experience staying there was so good we will definitely book to stay again.
As soon as we pulled up we were greeted by David who offered us a cup of tea and helped carry our bags to our rooms. Although I'm sure he must have been busy, he spent time discussing the history of the house and even emailed me old photographs of the property.
As soon as we entered the property we noticed that everything was immaculate, from the rooms to the garden. The crisp bedding and towels were white and the bathrooms sparkling. The bedrooms were both on the back of the building and were bright with lovely sea views (room 7, Kingsize on the 2nd floor with ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath and room 2, double on the 1st floor with ensuite shower room). Tea and coffee making facilities in each room with packets of biscuits and nice little touches such as Ferrero Rocher chocolates on the tea cups.
Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice from fruit juice, cereal, fruit, toast and jam to full cooked breakfast. All expertly cooked by David whilst Alvin worked front of house serving the food and checking that all guests were happy.
The property is set close to a lovely beach and very pretty countryside and is walking distance to the Fairbourne steam railway. We were recommended a number of restaurants by David and ended up eating at the George III Hotel, Penmaenpool, which is set overlooking the Mawddach estuary and was the ideal place to eat on a lovely evening.
We had a lovely stay in an exceptionally well run B and B which was great value for money and which far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Einion House for anyone wishing to explore this part of Wales.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear of Hotel have lovely sea views.

This is one of the best bed and breakfasts I've had the pleasure of staying in. My room was immaculate and had a great view from a big window. Breakfast was very well presented, plentiful and delicious. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. This was my second stay here and I will definitely be back again. I would recommend it to anyone in an instant.

We arrived at Einion House last Monday after a very very soggy trip down from Caernarfon in the pouring rain with a car problem. Immediately we were greeted by Alwin and David, who helped to carry our bags and made us a pot of tea. As we went into our room we noticed the Ferrero Rocher in with the tea cups.. What a lovely extra. The whole house was spotless, extremely clean, making me feel embarrassed about the state of our house! Our room was lovely and the bathroom shining with a brilliant shower. Parking was easy, just across the quiet road immediately in front of the house. Breakfast was superb.. All attention paid to our needs and cooked very well.. Nothing was greasy at all. Looking out of the window we had a great view, both during the day and at night when we could see all the lights of Fairbourne and of Barmouth and beyond on a clear night we didn"t close the curtains at all! We asked advice about how to get to Blue Lake and were given knowledgeable directions. Alwin always asked us at breakfast about our day but without being intrusive. We stayed here for five nights and enjoyed every minute.. We wouldn't hesitate to return.. The best B n B we have stayed in. Thank you both.

On our tour of wales we stopped here for one night, we were blown away. The service was fantastic, the rooms large and nicely decorated. The hotel is situated a short walk from some of the most gorgeous beaches I have ever seen. To better this, when we arrived we did not know where to eat and were recommend THE BEST Indianian i have ever eaten. I live in York a good 4 hours drive away, but I would be very tempted to go back to his B&B and do the same all over again. It was such a gem to discover.

We were very pleased we chose Enion House when we visited the area (23-27 May 2013). Alvin and David made us feel very welcome and relaxed from the minute we stepped over the door. A highly clean and presentable accommodation. The food was always perfectly presented, plentiful and more than satisfied our taste buds. Alvin and David really know how to pamper their guests and we particularly liked the attention to detail, such as fresh biscuits in our room each day. Einion House is a good base for various attractions, whether using own or public transport. Thank you Alvin and David for a lovely stay; we hope to make a return visit later this year. Ray and Linda

We were glad you enjoyed being back in Fairbourne, and your stay at Einion House and re-living your childhood reminiscence. We hope the area hasn't changed too much and that the Fairbourne beach and Penrhyn Point at the end of the Fairbourne Railway was as enjoyable as when you were a child. We also hope you enjoyed your trip on the Main line railway along the Cambrian Coastline from Fairbourne to Porthmadog.
We would also like to thank you very much for taking the time to write a review and your very kind comments which we both greatly appreciate.
